If you can enjoy sleeping in a tiny capsule as much as staying in a luxury hotel room, this place would be one of your best options in Tokyo. Located in middle of bustling area, very close to Akihabara by walk and you can take trains at Kanda Sta to go to most of places in Tokyo. Every facility in...

It was my first visit to Japan and first night stay. I was superbly and positively surprised by this hostel I have chosen, incidentally. The moment I entered, they gave me 2 keys, one for the shoe locker and another for the luggage. They gave me a towel and Yukata (Japanese bathrobe). I took off my shoes, put them in...

it's so close to kanda station which is very good for everyone just take 2 minutes walk. tidy and clean capsule hotel. if you bring a big luggage you can store it in the shared room, no need for another coin locker. sadly no smoking room, but you can smoke in front of the hotel.

I had one night to stay in Tokyo and had wanted to experience a Capsule hotel. I selected Capsule Value Kanda due to its location, only being 2 minute walk to Kanda Train Station which is only 1 stop (2 minutes) away from Tokyo Station, where all the Shinkansen Depart from. I was pleasantly surprised with the motel, it was...

Having been in Japan for awhile I have stayed in many bunks and private cabins, but never your typical, classic capsule hotel. This hotel was good for that experience. Relatively cheap price for a great location near Kanda station. The capsules themselves are comfortable but older, the TV and knobs for volume and such show their age and wear. Seems...

This hotel offer a public bath and a small hot bath (can fit 4 people). No washing machine, the television in the tube is quite small and alarm close doesn't work well. However, they provide you free wifi and common room and has a vending machine inside the hotel.

First time using a capsule hotel, mostly just for the experience. The staff spoke decent english and made a real effort to explain the rules of the hotel like: - Having to check out every morning even for stay of multiple nights. - Placing shoes in lockers - Placing other items in lockers. - Using the communal bath and showers....

Let´s be fair, it´s a capsule where you sleep because either you lost your train or because you want to have Japan capsule experience, the second is my case. Very noise, people talking disregarding the others are sleeping, to many people for only one bath place and one toilet per floor. It´s cheap! yes 2000 yens per night in Tokyo,...

I chose to stay here for the sole purpose of experiencing a capsule hotel in Tokyo. While I'm glad I didn't stay in a capsule hotel every night during my stay, I was happy with the experience at Capsule Value Kanda. The location is just one stop north of Tokyo Station right in the heart of Tokyo. Traveling to and...

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.

“If you have larger luggage bring some locking devices for the zippers if they do not fit in your locked cabinet/locker. Noticed other luggage bags on the main floor had metal wires looping through their zippers and around the metal baring with a lock on it to prevent anyone from walking away with it. (good idea)”
