The Toyoko Inns are always in convenient locations and are geared to business people mainly. They are fairly inexpensive especially if you join their points club for a cost of 1500 yen. You will be given a card with your picture on it and this entitles you to discounts, every tenth day is free and you get a better rate for staying on Sundays. You can put put your own towels and garbage and save more! I would recommend a regular double room for a couple as the bed is Queen size and you will have a small table and chairs. The regular twin is good too. Economy rooms are not that much less and they are pretty tiny but fine for one person. They I always in lude breakfast which is plentiful and mostly Japanese food, good coffee, juice and buns or bread. It is a sparkling clean hotel and the staff is very friendly and competent.

Location is good that it is close to subway station. There are convenience stores around if you want to get some late night food. They provide simple Japanese style breakfast near the lobby. They offer luggage deposit service which is convenient for those who do not arrive at check in time.

Very compact but immaculately clean rooms, friendly staff. Light Japanese style breakfast. About a 10 minute walk to the nearest train station. Popular with Japanese businessmen. Wifi password for the room is in Japanese characters, so I haven't been able to connect.

Located in anon descript part of Tokyo, you are here because most other Toyoko inns have already filled up (especially Saturday). However the connection to central Tokyo via 2 subway lines means you are not as far away as it may appear. Toyoko inn is a budget business style hotel offering very compact but comfortable modern rooms. Wifi good as ever. About 10 minutes walk from the №3 exit of Monzennakacho Station of Tozai Line and Toei Oedo Line.

This was a great base to explore on our three-day stay in Tokyo. The local area had shops, restaurants and convenience stores and there were multiple rail stations within walking distance to take in other districts. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable - the rooms were small but very efficient in their design and had adequate space for us (we had two double rooms for two adults and two teenages), especially as we were out most of the time. The foyer area has tables and chairs and multiple vending machines so you can always spend time there if you would like more space to hang out. The included breakfast was very convenient and served by a group of friendly breakfast ladies that magically turn the foyer into a buffet dining room each morning. They served a traditional Japanese-style breakfast, which was enjoyable, but also included small bread rolls and bananas for those wanting something less savoury. We would definately stay here again, but next time book further in advance to secure non-smoking rooms. There were only smoking rooms left when we booked (at the last minute!) and, as non-smokers, we didn't enjoy the smell. However, this was the only drawback and could be easily avoided next time.

We spent a few nights here as when my partner lived in Tokyo he stayed near to here, so wanted to re-visit the area. Hotel was standard business hotel, clean and comfortable with all the usual facilities of a Toyoko Inn. Good transport links locally and nice walking along the canal to see a different area of Tokyo Handy getting too and from Haneda.

This is a well situated hotel, 8 minutes walk from the Monzen-Nakacho Metro station (they are building a new crossing so you won't need to use the pedestrian bridge). There are many fast food restaurants and one lovely local place, name unknown, where we ate on on first night, (on the main road, opposite the station, starting at Stardust, and walk until you come to a small wooden building). The staff were very helpful (we locked ourselves out of the safe and they rescued us). The breakfast was typically Japanese, the flavoured rice was gorgeous. Coffee wasn't good but it was difficult to find expresso in Tokyo! The bed was fabulous. The room was small but very comfortable. The Sumida River was very close and a lovely walk. There are temples just off the main street, left out of the station.

I was travelling with a tour group and so we all stayed in Toyoko inn Monzen-nakacho. I lived in a single-room. First impression of mine, when I saw a room, was rather ambiguous – it seemed to be as small as a cabin of a goods elevator, though a rather big one :). But when I lived there for several days I realized, how lovely my place was: I had everything I needed – an electric teakettle with a choice of tea and coffee, a small fridge, good wi-fi connection, hair-dryer, an air-conditioner, a full length mirror on an outer side of the wardrobe door, and a rather comfy bad (it was really good – I have some backaches usually, but sleeping in Toyoko inn didn’t make me feel any discomfort), though for men it could seem too small in length. As for the bathroom, there I found all necessary shower facilities, like shampoo, shower gel, shower cap, slippers, and a toothbrush with a tiny tube of toothpaste – they made a set which was replaced by a new one every day :). So soon I realized, that the size really doesn’t matter at all :), the room was excellently organized and perfectly clean (every day I found a small card on the table with the name of a chambermaid, responsible for my room, in case I could have some problems or questions) – what else could a weary tourist desire after a long excursion day? The stuff in the hotel was very amiable and helpful, though sometimes it was a bit difficult to explain them in English, what I wanted them to do – they know English, but not good enough to understand the particular accent . Well, taking into account, that the English language isn’t widespread in Japan at all, this is a real trifle. Breakfast – was the only served meal, with a rather good choice of dishes, quite enough for morning meal, I think – mostly rice (2 types), toasts, buns, some fruits or berries, tea or coffee. There was something else, but I can’t remember. As for the location, it was just perfect – you could find four underground stations near hotel and it was rather easy to get to the most popular places with a minimal number of transfers. For example, the road for Akihabara and Ginza didn’t require changing trains at all. As for Monzen-nakacho itself, there you could find a lot of cafes and restaurants, and near the hotel, almost around the corner the “Seven-eleven” shop locates. If you ask me, would I choose this hotel in my next trip to Tokyo on my own? – I would definitely say “yes”. Of course you can choose an expensive chic five-stars hotel with all the ensuing consequences, but I don’t see the point in doing this, when you can get a lovely clean and comfortable room in a good-located hotel for a reasonable price.
