Stayed here for 5 nights with a group of friends. We booked a quad sharing room - space is a bit tight but is typical of a JP biz hotel. Location: The hotel is beside the Central Gate of the Toyocho Metro Station (Tozai Line), about 30 mins away from Central Tokyo. There is a Mcdonald’s next door that is open 24/7. A couple of convenience stores within the vicinity too. Seiyu Supermarket (good buys!) is a 5 min walk. Hotel has two restaurants within the bldg - Pronto at the GF and Saizeriya Italian Restaurant at B1F. Matsu-ya and Yoshinoya nearby. The Haneda Airport Limousine bus stop is a 3 min walk. Housekeeping: Room was cleaned everyday although cleaning of the toilet could be better. In general, room was ok - got ourselves 2 double bed and 1 bunk bed that was perfect for 4 pax. Toiletries, PJs and disposable slippers were replenished/provided daily. Highly recommended. Will stay here again when I’m in town. …
Our family enjoyed our stay here. Close to the train station and food choices. McDonald's is next door as well. The staff were friendly and did their best to allow an early check in for us as one family member felt unwell. The room was small yet we managed fine. Laundry available with wash and dry machines. Cost 500 yen Beds were a bit hard but we all had good rest. Quiet and peaceful. Recommended for price and service.
The best thing about this hotel is its location, right beside the Toyocho train exit. It’s in a relatively quiet part of Tokyo with convenience stores beside & across the hotel, a taxi stop, coffeeshops and a bookstore nearby. Check in & check out done in less than a minute via the machine. Upon request, the room is likewise cleaned daily. The room though, as common in most Tokyo hotels, is small. There’s little space to move about & packing/unpacking your luggage can be challenging. The personal ref is also really small. There’s a coffeeshop at the ground floor where many locals hang out in the morning for a quiet breakfast. They give a discount for room guests. Considering its reasonable room rates & accessibility to public transport, I would most likely consider staying in this hotel again on our next visit!…
Front desk service - 5/5, friendly and helpful, very nice staff Room - 1/5, stained bed cover & seats and musty bathroom Amenities - 3/5 Location - 5/5 Facilities - 3/5, not functional coin laundry good ice maker
Probs: - tokyo is not a cheap city, so it could be hard to find reasonable price hotel rooms. Sotetsu fresa inn offers just that! - Location is just besides metro line, so it´s easy to reach every part of the city (Tokyo is a massive city also, so you need to make some time). - 7-eleven and Lawson just nearby. - Lots of restaurants. - Room (we had a standard) is small ( seems to be a Japan standard) and the bed is roughly 140cm wide, comfy thought. Room has fridge, tv, hairdryer etc. Nothing too fancy. - Toyocho are is quiet. - Staff was friendly and spoke good english. Free coffee and tee at the reception. Cons: - Size of the room, no closet space to put your staff. - Toyocho are is quiet, so if you are finding a party, you should definitely find a place from Shinjuku etc. Overall: - Good value to your money and the metro is just round the corner!…
The hotel is located just beside Toyocho station and near a bus stop (in which you can take a bus and then a train to Disney train station). It is a few train stations away from most of the toruist attractions like Harajuku, Shibuya, Ueno and Ginza, so it is quite convenient and easily accessible. Checkin is strictly at 3pm so if you want to checkin earlier, you have to pay extra. Otherwise, you can leave your luggage at the hotel while you go explore tokyo. We booked a quad room with a bunk bed. The room is not spacious at all. There were 2 super single beds, a bunk bed, and a small table and bench. There was barely walking space for 4 adults and 2 children. The bathroom is also small and bathtub was deep. Basic amenities are provided, and the hotel has a laundry area. There is a small convenience store near the hotel and a bigger one just opposite it. There are also a few eateries nearby. Overall, it's a quaint hotel in a convenient location. …
I booked this hotel because it was one of the few cheap ones I could find, and I'm glad that I did because our room was very clean, the staff were friendly, and it was near the subway station. It was easy finding the place and we had a pleasant 5-night stay.
Just came back from a week’s stay at the “Sotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo-Toyocho”. I usually book Hotel East 21, but that one was not available but I wanted a hotel in the general area. Sotetsu has several advantages: a) generally lower in price b) literally a few steps away from the Toyocho Tokyo metro station c) located on a main street with more food and merchandise shops nearby d) has a coin laundry onsite. A microwave oven is also available on the 4th floor to heat up a quick grab and go meal from 7-Eleven or Family Mart (both nearby). Sotetsu is not a luxury hotel, but it is very nice, clean and practical. Like many Tokyo hotels, the room is smaller than what American travelers are accustomed to. A solo traveler should book at least the double-sized room. Even so, there are no closets, and no dressers. So the sofa, and the folding luggage rack will be needed for you to spread out and access your clothing. There are wall mounted coat hooks and hangers for your jackets. The small room would be much too claustrophobic. The bathroom is set 8” above the floor level. And the tub is very deep, and can be difficult to get in and out of. The bathroom is not vented, and gets warm and humid very quickly, so it’s best to turn on the room AC and leave the bathroom door open a few inches while bathing. It’s much more comfortable that way. I would definitely consider staying at Sotetsu again. The hard part is weighing the advantages of Hotel East 21 (Disneyland shuttle) versus Sotetsu Fresa Inn (closer to the Metro and had more restaurants/shops nearby).…
I found this Fresa Inn to be a little roomier than the one we stayed at in Kamakura Ofuna. I thought this was a very good hotel to base yourself for a few days to explore Tokyo and we were an extended family of seven. The hotel is quite clean; the bedding and bathroom were good. With small grandchildren, a plus is the convenience to the Tozai metro line as it was such an easy walk for all of us from station to accommodation. Easy two changes to Ginza area. Would use this hotel again.
