Probably because of the economic deterioration by the Covid-19, the largest famous department store has closed. Most of the restaurants near the department store have also closed. Fine restaurants remains such as the Prime rib Lawry's, and the French restaurant Joël Robuchon. This place is more than 10 minutes walk from Ebisu station. The hotel at the end of the Garden Place is Westin Tokyo, so hotel guests are very comfortable to relax in the hotel, but I think it is quite inconvenient to go out to the city for dining or sightseeing.

On Christmas Eve, I stayed at Ebisu Westin again, and I could feel the rich festive atmosphere as soon as I entered the lobby. This time tomoko helped me to do the check-in procedure, all the procedures were finished in less than 3 minutes, and very kindly took me to the room and introduced the room facilities in detail. Because it is the epidemic period, specially arranged to send the happyhour meal snacks alcohol to the room, looking out the window beautiful scenery, tasting the hotel carefully prepared meals, unknowingly drank a lot of wine. Two days stay, again let me feel the westin hotel as a Marriott brand top hotel hardware standards and service level, if again to Tokyo business, I believe will continue to stay. I believe I will stay again if I come to Tokyo.

The Westin is a nice classic style hotel. It has everything to provide a pleasant experience to its guests. However, the success of service starts with the effort and control exerted by the GM and his management team. In Westin that is non existent. There is no coordination between the different management clearly caused by lack of oversight by the GM. The best man is the chief doorman. Perfect. It goes down from there. There is no respect for long term guests and there is an overly clear preference for Japanese guests. For us, foreigners there is only the crumbs of the table, the leftovers. Of course you will get the up-face microwaved smiles and set phrases. But your requests , concerns, complaints only will classify you as a nuisance. If your expectations are not high, by all means, stay at Westin. Its location is perfect, the hardware excellent. Just do not expect that you are anything more than a revenue delivering entity

Dear Rob M, Thank you for staying with us and also sharing your comments here. The team and I are disappointed in your feedback, as we always do our best to exceed all our guest expectations. I am sorry that we appear to have fallen short with you and your partner, including the other feedback shared online for Ryutenmon and our Cigar Club. It is generally not representative of the positive comments we receive, so we hope to be able to restore confidence in the future, should the situation arise. Sincerely, Charles Jack General Manager

-Room with two doubles was as pictured. -The A/C took some time to cool the room down. -Complimentary water provided. -The bed is on the firm side. -My least least favorite part of the stay was the buffet; the quality of the food did not equal the price. -My fovorite part of the stay was the staff. Friendly, helpful and accommodating. -I recommend to stay here and I would stay again.

The Westin Tokyo is very nice hotel but travelers beware that staff do not enforce mask wearing and there were numerous guests in the lobby and in shared spaces without masks and even several who were sneezing and coughing. When alerted of the situation the staff refused to deal with the situation. Better to wait until the end of the pandemic to stay here.

Dear Guide598543, I appreciate your feedback, and I am disappointed to see your feedback. We pride ourselves on the highest protocols with COVID-19 safety, along with our commitment to cleanliness during this difficult time. We do enforce mask wearing, and approach all guests who are not, requesting them to respect others, if the very occasional situation may arise. We also have thermal temperature monitoring for all guests entering the premises, and continue to monitoring guest wellness. I am a little surprised to learn issue, but thank you for making us aware with your post. We've shared your concern with all. Sincerely, Charles Jack General Manager
