Staff were freindly, helpful and polite and made our stay at this wonderful traditional style Japanese hotel a delight. Location and price also made this a highly recommended place to stay just up the road from Shibuya crossing.

This hotel features a good tatami room with a good toilet in a quiet place next to Shibuya. It is a good location but no breakfast served. Good for experiencing japanese bed style with futon on tatami.

The room was very quite and spacious. We enjoyed the Japanese style sleeping (on futon mattresses on a tatami). Reception was always very helpful and the location very close to Shibuya area (20 / 30 minutes walking approx or with easy bus access).

This is a Japan traditional style room and clean, price for this hotel is really cheap compare to other accommodations in Shibuya area. Although it is not really near to JR station (about 15~20 minute walk across the Shibuya shopping street).

The door closes after 23:00 hrs... so don't dare to eat dinner ate 21:00. We had to rush from our delicious yakitori.... When we showed up, the man at the counter doubted that we had a room there?!? (We checked in with the "boss lady" earlier.) Anyways the place is really clean, and the eye to detail was nice: tatamis...

I stayed here for 2 nights, staff was very friendly and kind and my room was very comfortable. The ratio quality-price is very good considering this is Tokyo. About the location: if you like walking and are not carrying a suitcase, you'll be fine, Shibuya is indeed not very far (15min). But it's not next door either, and it is...

I stayed here with my wife and our baby of 2 years old, we took a private traditional japanese room with private bathroom. Room is nice and comfortable and quite big for japanese standards. Location is ok: close to Shibuya, 15 min walk from tube station. Staff is very kind and helpful, just the person who does the night shift...

The hotel is about 15 min walk to Shibuya station. We had a bit of confusion on how to get there since the bus no that was stated on their website for the direction was no longer in use. Good thing, the staffs in Shibuya station is familiar with hotel Fukudaya and they directed us the simplest way in getting...

Japanese hotels are usually very consistent no matter what but this one is the worst I have ever had per se. The hotel is far from Shibuya station like at least 15 minutes walkjnd and even my taxi driver can't really find it. And the south Asian staff at front desk was very unfriendly when asking to change to a...

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
