My wife and I spent four nights here at the Tokyo Grand and though not directly chosen by ourselves we were very pleased with what it offered us. The bedroom was surprisingly large with a king size bed assuringly quiet while high up on the 13th floor. The staff could not do enough for us and were extremely polite and attentive. They booked theatre tickets and taxis and helped us get to grips with understanding how the subway system works also with the language as neither of us spoke any Japanese. Location was excellent in the business district with shops and restaurants nearby and situated just 5 minutes walk from the nearest subway. Would have no hesitation in returning to Tokyo Grand hotel.
Lovely hotel; spotlessly clean; small like most Tokyo hotels. 10 mins walk to subway which are fairly easy to use once you get the hang of them. Kettle in room but little tea cups and no teaspoons luckily we had taken our own coffee and travel cups. Staff very helpful and friendly. Are at Jonathan’s across the road it was ok. McDonald’s about 10 mins away great view of Tokyo Tower
Lovely hotel, in the business district of Tokyo, very clean, staff so friendly and desk staff speak English, breakfast very varied - Japanese and western, room spacious, large bed, adequate bathroom, lots of toiletries. I’d thoroughly recommend as a base for exploring Tokyo
We stayed at the Tokyo Grand Hotel with small family of three. The hotel is quite dated but clean enough. I am not sure what was happening with the pillows but they had sticks in them - perhaps this is a traditional thing. The area around the hotel is very quiet, kind of business district. It is about a 10 minute walk to bars and restaurants and night life you would expect in Tokyo. There are a few convenience stores around and a few tiny places to eat. All in all, this hotel is OK, but not very flash.
My friends and I stayed here as we wanted a good price but great location. The single room was much bigger than I expected, nice view, quiet, big bed, everything I could want. The room was clean with a hot pot, refridgerator, clean bathroom and I was very happy with everything. So glad we chose that place.
I really did enjoy my stay at this hotel very friendly staff nice rooms but a little bit small but ok. there is only 2 downsides to this hotel. No opinion for breakfast. And it a 20 mins by train to Shibuya 30 mins to Shinjuku it's about 200 yen each way but you do have places near the hotel too like Tokyo tower and Shinagawa is not that far away would I stay there again yes I would One tip I would recommend is to get a Suica card make your holiday so much easier and you need google maps
Neat and clean. Staff very obliging and kind to a solo traveller. It needs an overdue update, but otherwise I would recommend this hotel. The room needs a more comfortable bed and pillows, (for western softies), bathroom very cramped. TV only had CNN or sumo wrestling to watch.
A bit apprehensive about bed size as room semi double but everything was fine. Helpful staff on reception/borrowed their adaptor for mobile phone. Room is neat but OK for short stopover. Comfy bed. TV, super flask type kettle. We were 5 nights so kept clothes etc in suitcases. Only room to hang your coats. Lovely bidet/toilet and tub with shower over. Room had good view of Tokyo tower. Jonathan's cafe across from hotel lovely soup and pizza. Should have used it earlier. Too busy using 711, lawsons, Family Mart. handy for snacks drinks, beer, wine. Lots eateries around about. Excellent location for Daimon metro just got it straight thru to airport. Would stay again. Love Shiba Park.............
First time in Japan. Hotel was very clean, staff very friendly. Transport close by. I would stay here again. Only negative is the cost of washing clothes is expensive in hotels but that’s standard. Didn’t see any coin laundry places so I didn’t bother asking.
As you would expect in Tokyo rooms are small but okay. Make sure you have a twin room as the doubles beds are only 4foot wide. Reception is being redecorated in April. 15 minute walk from JR Tain station. This makes it easy to get around. Didn't eat in the hotel. My wife's bed needed a new mattress and pillow
