If you can get this hotel at a discounted price compared to other options, it's a good bet. The room was marginally smaller (not sure how that's possible) from the other hotel we stayed at in Shinjuku, but if you can save a good chunk of money on rates, the location isn't that bad that you'll regret it. It's a...

This hotel is in a nice residential area, very close to a subway station on the main line. The location makes it ideal to see all of the sites in Tokyo without having trouble sleeping at night because of city noise and all of the bright lights. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again. The rooms are small by...

Stayed at the Gracery Tamachi on a business trip in December 2015 for 10 nights. I chose the hotel due to its location (close to the office) and because it was recommended by my colleagues in the office. The hotel itself is a five minute walk from Tamachi station which is on the JR and metro lines and only 10...

I stayed here for 5 nights in early April. Although the hotel sits right next to the monorail line, the room is very quiet with excellent sound-proofing. The queen sized bed is comfortable and there is enough space to put my luggage without tripping over them. More importantly, there is none of the cigarette smoke smell in my room which...

I stayed here for one night on a business trip. It's about 5 minutes walk from Tamachi JR station (Yamaonte Line, one stop from Shinagawa for the shinkansen) and a similar distance from Mita station (for the subway). It's right next to the monorail, though I didn't check where the nearest monorail stop is. I found the hotel to be...

Stayed here for a three nights. The front desk was very helpful and came to our room when I could not figure out how to run the air conditioning properly. Quiet business neighborhood located a few blocks away from Tamachi train station. We traveled the Yamanote line to everything we wanted to visit in Tokyo.

The Hotel Gracery/Tamachi is a solid 3.5 star on a quiet islet in the middle of Tokyo. I entered through a modern style lobby and quickly checked in by a group of English speakers who gave me the room type I requested. Have your passport ready as all Japanese hotels are required to copy it. The keycard is used in...

Booked this hotel for 5 days stay during Sakura season, for the price we paid, it was worth every cent! The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from Tamachi and Mita station where you can access the JR Yamanote Line as well as Tokyo subways. Tamachi is a business zone so it is relatively quiet but there are Lawson (convenient...

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
