The hotel is a short taxi ride from the main CBD but still fairly convenient for CBD and for Haneda Airport. The greeting was courteous and helpful, especially the concierge although there was a screw up over our booking and it took a long time to resolve (not entirely the hotel's fault). Bottom line, book through an online travel company...

First of all. Fantastic for arriving from Haneda Airport. Not a great big hotel feels quite personal. All staff super friendly and helpful. Great views and location. Nice big rooms. Breakfast good price, cheaper than a London hotel not true that Japan is so expensive. Just say everything excellent and that's that !

Just returned from Japan and spent five nights at the Intercontinental Hotel. On arrival after a long flight from the UK we were welcomed with a speedy check in and our luggage was taken to the room by a lovely young Chinese lady very smartly dressed in her uniform. She was very helpful and pointed out the sites from the...

Basically - you will get some diced up fruit placed in your fridge and 4 small finger chocolate bars and that's the extent of the benefits for your brand loyalty at this hotel. There is an executive lounge but regardless of the fact you are platinum or even your room is on the executive floor you don't get access unless...

Location is so so, but short walk to subway. This is a beautiful property and we loved it. Friendly staff and concierge. Food was excellent also. Rooms are spacious with great views. The lobby is grandeur.

Having stayed here several times over the last few years it's sad to see their food and in particular "Chef's Live Kitchen" remains so poor and sub standard. Everything else about the hotel, staff and location are very good however I think I'll revert back to the ANA Intercon for future trips.

Stayed here for 4 nights at the end of of our Japan trip. The service at this hotel is faultless, from the shuttle bus driver, to the doorman, bellboy etc. Nothing is too much trouble at all. We had a room facing the Sumida River, and I can just sit there enjoying the view everyday. The unique selling point of...

I picked this hotel because I thought it was right near a subway line. Unfortunately the line that's closest only goes out to the islands. The main subway is about a 15min walk away. However, that is the only drawback. The rooms are great as is the view and the service was wonderful. I would recommend a bay view. It's...

This hotel is what you can expect from an intercontinental. Make sure you ask for a bay view room which provides you a fantastic view of Tokyo Bay. The location is in a quiet area. There is a mini mart on 3rd floor to supply you with ready to eat food if you are on a budget. If you need...

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
