I was there for 3 nights while i was visiting Tokyo and it was just the right choice. The staff was really professional and helpful, (we arrived to hotel at 10 on the morning, after a flight of 12 hours really tired and they allowed us to entry in the room although it was too early) The room and all...

A quiet exclusive hotel by Shinagawa JR Station. My favorite in Japan. A 2 min walk from Shinkansen exit, 6 min walk from train station to Haneda and Narita. The hotel is located from the 26th floor to the top of a building next to the station. This hotel has luxury rooms from 27th floor and above. I simply love...

The advantage of the location is next to the main station. It also has many dinning options around. However in my opinion, Shinjuku or Shibuya are better choice for tourists. This hotel fits better for business travellers (maybe). The service wasn't the best. I showed up around 2pm and it took nearly 20 mins to check-in. The room and amentities...

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
