To begin with, the location is really good! The hotel provides a shuttle bus to Meguro Station and back every 15 min! That makes getting around super easy! They have fantastic restaurants and a really nice bar. The staff are super kind and helpful! Couldn't complain about a thing! Rooms are clean and very well renovated! Will def stay there...

Location: hotel is located in the middle of nowhere and not easy to access by JR station. It located neither business district nor tourist attractions! Facilities: since walking into lobby, I can feel it's old but can't believe the furniture are very old and the chair's cushion is ragged! Room layout: my room is 454 was introduced it is conner...

I have stayed in this hotel about 5 times. I like the location, it is quiet and away from the busier parts of Tokyo yet very accessible with the regular shuttle bus to Meguro Station. It is also a short taxi ride to Roppongi, nightlife. I will be staying here again in the near future. It's very clean and has...

I like Sheratons and was hoping to like this one too. Well, couldn't say that I didn't like it nor did I like it. The experience was really meh when compared to other outstanding Sheratons around Asia (read other reviews). We travelled as a party of 3 and so were placed in a deluxe room with an extra rollaway bed....

We stayed at 5 different hotels throughout our time in Japan, 3 of which were in Tokyo. This was our least favourite due to location and the quality of sleep we had. I will start with the positives which were: The service from the hotel staff I must say we could not fault and the beautiful lobby gave us a...

My sons and I decided to go to Japan on a whim. We picked the hotel via Starwood. The rooms were quite large especially by Japan standards. The staff was very polite, courteous, and attentive. The Miyako is a business hotel and our two week stay was a bit surprising to them. They often thanked us for being there. They...

Just checked into the hotel this evening (March 18) and they were very proud to say they updated my room to deluxe room with two beds as a platinum member. Although I booked the room with two bed, I asked for a king bed. The women who checked me in said " so sorry" no king bed. She then said...

We traveled as a family over christmas and had a wonderful stay. The room was very nice. Bathroom was a little dated. The hotel provided nice toiletries in the room everyday including slippers, toothbrush, hairbrush bath salts etc. The hotel is not near a lot of restaurants but the hotel provides a shuttle bus to the main train stations nearby...

Have your breakfast at the Chinese restaurant on Level 1, which offers are great Japanese style breakfast in a lovely environment 2. The gym is a little complex (there is essentially 3...

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
