Overall I think the hotel overall and the rooms specifically is great. Very modern and comfortable with all the right touches and good location. Makes you feel like you are having 'fun' even if there for business. The one major thing is that if you want to use internet you either have to BUY a cable or call down for a wireless card and then scratch off some number and spend ages setting it up. If you don't need this then I recommend it 100%, oterhwise stay somewhere else.
I did enjoyed my stay here and was very excited to be in the Executive King Suite, but there were definitely parts of the stay that took away from it being 5 stars. First off, in terms of location, Conrad Tokyo is in a good place but it is extremely hard to actually get into the hotel. The station is at the Shiodome which is one stop away from Shimbashi. However, there are many road blocks and you cannot cross the street easily in this area. We found ourselves across the street from the hotel, and found it very difficult to get to the other side. That said, I think this is the most centralized part of Tokyo as in its moderately easy to get anywhere else due to it being one of the train hubs, but it was still at least 30 minutes to Shibuya/Shinjuku. Shimbashi is a decent neighborhood but it’s still a 10 minute walk away. The room itself is quite nice and luxurious and very pretty at first glance but when I looked closely, I noticed that it wasn't as new or well maintained as some of the other 5* hotels. The hotel was aged and in need of a refurbishment. You can tell that the furniture was a bit worn, the water system used very old styled knobs and even the toilet had a manual flush. In fact, the water in the shower gets hotter if you flush or switch on the faucet at the same time. There were also several spots on the floor that had scrap marks. Basically, everything was nice and luxurious, but just old. If you don't mind slightly older furniture and infrastructure, then this is a great place for you because it IS luxurious. Breakfast here is split up into the executive and the lobby lounge. The first day we tried the executive lounge. The space had a good view of the city skyline and was nice and quiet and the spread was fairly standard for 5 star hotels. The second day, we had it in the lobby lounge. I’ve heard from blogs that the breakfast at the main restaurant is way better. It was not. The place is hectic and it was hard to even find plates. Many other guests also requested plates because there either weren’t enough or it was just hard to find. When we finally found it, there was a stack of like 4 plates. After sitting and eating for like 20 mins, I went back for another plate but found one plate with a piece of bread and a candy wrapper. 20 minutes later, when we were leaving we found a stack of new plates right next to the plate with the bread and candy wrapper. No one has bothered to clean it up even after replenishing the clean plates. I understand they were busy, but the presentation is important. Trash next to clean plates should be cleaned asap. During the evening cocktail hour, they had some salami/ham and breaded shrimp. This was actually a good snack. Conrad Tokyo also has a really good gym. It was much better than any other hotel so far. There was a leg press, chest press, and a barbell! There was no squat rack though but obviously you shouldn't expect that in Tokyo. One other thing that was missing was a pull-up bar though but with a barbell and leg/chest press, I’m satisfied. As for the pool, I did not enjoy it. It just wasn't very impressive, it was like 2 lanes and very bland in design. Overall, this was a decent hotel but my expectations were too high for a $1000 executive suite so it lead to a disappointment. Like I said, if you don't care about the hotel being slightly older, then this place is luxurious with decent service and amenities.…
The best hotel in Tokyo and Conrad i’ve stayed before. The hotel is just next to the metro Shiodome (Toei Oedo Line) if you came from the airport, you also can catch the Airport Limousine Bus approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Lobby is on 28th floor and thank you Masuda-sama for allowed me to check in at 11am. Room is bigger than other hotels in Tokyo with full amenities. Rooms is clean, modern, i can see Odaiba View from my room (Bay view). I received turn down service everyday with a little snack and thank you housekeeping on 32 floor for your good service. Breakfast on the lobby floor, not much variety but good food and ingredient. Provides Japanese corner, american breakfast corner, salad, fruits, bread, muffin etc. I really enjoyed this hotel, thank you everyone for your service especially staffs whom i met named Kao, Koga, Sarah, Alesi, Fukui and also concierge staff on the ground floor who assist my luggage upon departure. Can’t wait to go back ❤️ …
I think sometime, you also need to spend a different day with your girlfriend in your routine. Last Saturday was such a day for me. Although it was the first time to visit Conrad Tokyo, it actually provided a completely different sky and cityscape. Also, The most impressive of them was the service of Conrad's hotelier, who were perfect and elegant in the midst of the COVID 19. The professional consciousness of all the employees was conveyed, so there was no regret over the hotel choice, especially I really appreciate Maako Ito San's service against my demanding needs. She was perfect for us with her professionalism and language skill and make us to be cozy and give more remarkable memories. That's why everyone says Tokyo Conrad is the best Conrad in the world. Next month i have a special day, hence i will stay again at there with my girlfriend
I have always been intrigued about Tokyo Conrad. Recently, due to covid 19 and timing after a Japanese holiday the price was more affordable than usual. People were very polite and helpful. Being a diamond member I got upgraded to a room with a view over the gardens and Tokyo Bay, which was quite lovely. The room had everything you could wish for with separate bath and shower. The 25m pool on the 29th floor was narrow, but very nice. Fortunately there were few people in there when I went. The executive lounge was closed, so I went to the foyer cafe area for afternoon tea which was delicious and minimalist. Cocktail hour had free flowing nice wines between 6-8. Again a minimalist, tasty food platter was given to you. The breakfast was the most disappointing. For me it was complementary, for anyone else around 4,000 yen. I am sure due to safety and guest numbers there was purposely not a great deal of choice. I chose the lobster omelette from the menu which was okay. As one of my favourite places to stay is in the Conrad in Singapore, I could not help comparing the two, which perhaps overshadowed my views of Conrad Tokyo. It is a lovely hotel and a great place to stay. I am glad to have stayed there, but possibly might not be rushing back.…
