Nice basic hotel, small comfortable rooms. Room well laid out though with some shelf space to add extra room for your stuff. Hotel held my bags when I arrived early and took them up to my room for arrival. Was a 5-10 minute walk uphill from the station, so a bit quieter than nearer the station, but close enough to... This is a reasonable hotel for Tokyo. Hotels can be spendy in the Orient, but this place is a good deal. Small but clean rooms. Nice bathroom. Near a lot of stuff. I stayed here alone so I don't know what a woman would think.

I was stayed in Hotel Monterey Akasaka from Sep. 28th 2016 to Oct. 2nd. The staff is very kind as other Japanese do. But room is bit small(17㎡) as the other Business hotel in Tokyo. But i appreciate they changed my room to twin for Free. and Location is really great! you can reach most of Tokyo attraction within 30~40min... More

Monterey is a nice hotel situated in a really good spot. Close to parks, Roppongi and the subway is right around the corner. Plenty of small restaurants nearby. The rooms are well equipped and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast buffé is ok and there's a choice between western and Japanese style breakfast.

Great location with lots of restaurants nearby. There are 2 subway stations with ~10 mins walk from the hotel. Rooms itself are quite small and unless you go for the upgraded ones, it's quite small. Very fast WiFi throughout the hotel. Feels a little old but with a convenient location and reasonable price, it's worth a stay..

Hotel Monterey Akasaka is comfortable without being spacious. A few touches to make your stay feel luxurious: pyjamas, coffee (not a common commodity in Japanese hotels), a small (but probably unnecessary) TV. Compare, for the rates, staying in Asakusa (near Ueno: Hokke Club in Asakusa costs, for three nights, approximately the same as two nights at Monterey, which has a... More

This is a very expensive hotel in a good district but all the expense was clearly on the public areas. The rooms are small and the bathrooms feel like they were inserted into the rooms as add ons. There is no room service, so one night I ordered a pizza for delivery to my room. I was told it arrived... More

I went to Tokyo with my brother and we stayed at Hotel Monterey Akasaka for a week - it proved to have an amazing location as Akasaka-mitsuke metro station was just 5 minutes on foot to the hotel (take Exit A and just walk straight, you'll find the hotel on your left-hand side). The hotel is easy to find and easy to reach by metro. It is a bit of an uphill struggle to get to the place with a heavy suitcase from Akasaka Mitsuke station, literally. The rooms are smallish, but comfortable. The hotel staff is very helpful, also for restaurant advice. Great place to stay. Good price-quality relation.
