It was only a place to sleep. The place was packed. To many rooms, too little space. It was hard I put our backpacks, wish we could squeeze them to fit in the place. But the cleanliness was excellent.

We had a wonderful time at Yadoya as the staff were friendly and helpful. It's a small building but this is standard for Japan. My friend and I stayed in the 4 female bunk room. The room was very small but beds were comfortable, I wouldn't recommend staying in the bunk rooms for long periods of time only as it's... More

This was a cute and safe hostel. They give you very clear and fool proof directions upon booking so it was incredibly easy to find. The guesthouse rooms are all on the second and third floors with no elevator. The steps are quite narrow so be wary with big backpacks. Only the rooms are air conditioned. We stayed in an... More

We stayed in a 4 bedroom female dorm in February 2016. The rooms are much too small for 4 people. For example, only one person can lay their bags on the floor at once. There are small lockers for your valuable- BYO locks. The common room has a selection of guidebooks and is small, but you can use the fridge... More

YADOYA located in Nakano about 5-min walk from Nakano station. It's cheap and good for budget traveler. I've stayed in 8-bed mix dormitory on the 3rd floor closest to the window. It's a bit noisy at night while car driving fast but it still ok to sleep. There is 7-11 convenient store just across the street.

I only used this hostel as an overnight stay before catching onward transport, so can't comment on many of the facilities. Staff came in after hours to check me in. Building was pretty run down and the room was pretty cramped for 8 beds plus luggage. The bunks looked like they were handmade and the position of the ladder made... More

Stayed here for 3 nihts in May 2015. I like this place because of it's location. If you are on a budget, and looking for a place with a relatively good location to just crash the night (or nights), consider staying here. In my opinion, it's not a bad place. For the price we paid, it's very decent. My friend... More

I've stayed here about 10 times, as many of the other reviewers have stated the main hostel building is a bit shabby around the edges but for the cost and fantastic location to Shinjuku I keep coming back.

I stayed in a private bunk room with a travel companion, and was seduced by the cheap price, but I'll never stay here again. The staff was very nice and helpful, but the place was very shabby. The restroom smelled really bad and was dirty, and the rooms were below average. On the bright side, Nakano turned out to be... More

Well. Book here ONLY if you need to save money. But anyway you can find similar accomodation for a little more but for sure better quality. Nakano area is great and the place is very close to the subway where you can go to Shinjuku with one or two stops only. Nakano also has many shops and restaurants to check.... More
