We stayed for 6 days. I chose this hotel since it is a non smoking hotel. It is a short easy walk to the train station and many eating places. The breakfast was delicious with many choices of food and drink. I love the fresh mixed fruit vegetable juices. The staff went out of their way to assist you with...

I was travelling with my mother, spouse, and three children. I am not sure they are used to hosting many children, because it took approximately 30 minutes to check in (not including waiting time). From what I was told, approximately 70% of the guests here are international tourists. I stayed there on a Sunday. Although there were signs everywhere touting...

Located a stones throw from Shinjuku station, the hotel staff are extremely helpful and the service was second to none. Rooms were very clean and freshened up daily. The breakfast was superb. If only all hotels offered a service like this!

A fantastic location, easy walking to the heart of Shinjuku. Small as expected (nothing out of the ordinary for Japanese hotels) but clean, comfortable, quiet at night and with all the amenities you need. Lovely bright reception, reliable wifi, friendly staff. The hotel breakfast is good, but expensive - skip it and get something from one of the many amazing...

Airport shuttle bus stops at the hotel entrance which makes the journey to and from Haneda airport really convenient. This hotel is situated in a relatively non-busy street very near to the JR Shinjuku station. The nearby department stores, Takashimaya, and Tokyu Hands, could be accessed through a shortcut. There are convenience stores/cafes/restaurants/izakayas around the area. Felt safe to walk...

Tokyo is huge. To be "well situated" is really a matter of your own choice. It depends on what you have to do in Tokyo. But Shinjuku is a one of the good options. The train station is so big that an hotel close to a smaller station could be a smarter choice. But at least a lot of lines...

Hotel was in a great location. Easy access to 2 main stations with JR and subway lines. Shinjuku full of great shopping and places to eat. Also close to many attractions. Room was small but really well stocked. Free water, tea and coffee facilities. Bar was very pleasant as well. Staff spoke good English and were very helpful and friendly....

I highly recommend upgrading to one of their Japanese-style deluxe king rooms, which are much larger and more charming than the other rooms. An interesting and bustling neighbourhood, close to the 'Lost in Translation' bar at the Hyatt Regency, which is well worth a visit. We stayed int he Ginza region prior to moving here, and this area provides a...

I booked this hotel at last minutes through website. Within 30 minutes, it settled all admin and confirmed my booking. Overall, the hotel location is great. Non smoking hotel, however, 2 smoking areas at level 1 and 2. The room size is not too big, but I think is just nice for 1 person. The room is clean. I stayed...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
