I stayed here a couple of times while I was in Japan, so I got a pretty good understand of the place. You store your baggage in the lobby where the staff looks after it. You get your own locker for a backpack or clothing, which they provide you towels and a yukata. Men get a private bath, while women...

The capsule hotel is not suitable if you have more than a small bag with you. There is not enough space to put your luggage in the locker. That means you have to leave the luggage in the reception area, where even people from outside can steal it. The capsule itself is alright. But the TV only shows 24h porn...

This capsule hotel is yards away from the entrance to Golden Gai and is in the heart of Kabukicho. Excellent value for money and easy to find. Comfortable capsules, good clean bathing facilities and good storage for your stuff (suitcases may need to be left safely in front of reception.) A fun experience that you must have at least once...

This was our first experience of a capsule hotel. All of the information was provided in English and it was easy to book through their website. The female floor looked newly renovated and had a great bathroom, with private showers. The men's had a Japanese shared bathing area. Everywhere was very clean and people respected the signs asking for quiet...

A unique, somewhat Japanese experience. We stayed here one night, which for me was enough, though if one is on a tight budget a longer stay is manageable. The Japanese bathhouse is communal so shyness has to be put to one side. There are no private shower cubicles. Bags/luggage are stored in lockers in reception and guests have to vacate...

I stayed here for 11 nights in total was great. yes everyday you do need to check out however if you are staying multiple nights you can leave your bag there in-between checkout and the next checkin. I found the whole place clean and an amazing experience, this is great value and comfortable, the pods were quiet even on the...

I'm very excited when arrived the hotel. It's very complete with all necessary. body wash, shampoo, conditioner which is normal for a hotel, they even provide toner, moisturiser, body lotion and even hair lotion! But it's too noisy to have a good rest here...

Must stay there at least once. Ideal for late arrivals into Tokyo; stay there for the first night, then move to the Hilton. Don't forget to bring or buy earplugs at the reception; there's a background melody mixing music from the karaoke bars and soring.

I highly recommend this. Such a cool experience! Stayed here 2 nights and enjoyed all of it. Bathhouse is awesome, good-lockers and clean place. Loved it. Will be back and highly recommend. Was hard to fine had to ask a local and still had a hard time. You have to take an elevator up to the lobby! Dont stop until...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
