Please check how to locate hotel before you go.....it is on a side street. Other than that, the hotel has a great staff, nice rooms, breakfast brought to your room, near subway. We would stay here again.

It's not very near to shinjuku station, need about 12 min of walking, would not recommend if traveling with elderly, literally you have to walk whole day and it's quite tiring for them. The room is small because of the big bed but it's workable to place two big check in bags in a room. The basic needs like boiler,...

The hotel room was small but clean and comfortable with a well equipped bathroom. It is located about 15 minutes walk from the East Ebtrance to Shinjuku Station. The reception staff were helpful with leaving luggage and explaining check in in English. Breakfast boxes were delivered punctually each morning after calling the front desk. Reception hours seemed to be 7am...

I love Japan but I hate coming to Japan during the winter because the hotels shut off their air conditioning. Us Americans seem to cook, Asians don't seem to mind it much. I've had to move hotels in the past because the room is so small the heat gets unbearable and the windows don't open. The Hotel Villa Fontaine has...

Stayed here for a night out at the local restaurants and cafes. The place was quiet and comfortable. The bed was a good size for two although moving around room was a little cramped. Overall, I'd stay here again for a comfortable place to sleep. Nothing fancy but does the job.

The bathrooms and food served here is Japanese, but the beds are large and Western, which was wonderful and familiar after a day of running around. They bring breakfast up to your room everyday, and this room service was included with the price. Great location and good spot to stay as a couple or with friends

Good hotel for sleep. And have good price for the location. Small room with big bath. The walls not in best shape. And really hard mattress. But overall good location to train station, restaurants, shops and movie theater. Not room service but cute breakfast. Good service, but not great. The location is great to explore Tokyo. A great and interesting...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
