while about 0.6 km from Shinjuku Station, this hotel can make a perfect headquarters for a Tokyo stay. Rooms are large, and for Tokyo, quite reasonable. They also have a reasonable continental breakfast, both Japanese and western items. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Within five short blocks is Shinjukugyoen Metro stop - just two stops from Shinjuku...

I can't think of anything I didn't like about this room (we had an executive suite for 3). It was very well designed so we could fit all our luggage, belongings and the many things we bought in Tokyo without feeling cramped. The kitchenette was amazingly well equipped and the bathroom was excellent. The beds were very comfy and we...

We stayed in 2 apartments in the Sakura season (early April 2015). While the rooms were great (decent size), the location is a bit distant from the Shinjuku station - it is not walkable, you must ideally take the Bus 61 (if you are alone) or a bus. Maybe in hidsight, we should have considered something closer to JR Tokyo...

This is a modern apartment style hotel with in-room cooking facilities but with no bar or restaurant. The staff and the service are excellent. It is clean close by Shinjuju station and near to many bars and restaurants. A place to stay in comfort rather than to enjoy as a destination in its own right.

Citadines selling strategy is to offer a studio apt room near to the main touristy area or major station for a reasonable price. The location will not be a stone throws away from the station (which will remove all the noise and crowd) but is located at a silent part of the area with easy access to subway stations, buses...

We stayed here in April in Room 802. The front staff seem a little busy all the time and appear a little cold. The facilities are well maintained, with friendly cleaning ladies. It's warm and cosy, hot showers and a warm bed. High floor is always better. Free wifi as should be expected. The closest station is Shinjuku gyouenmae, 500m...

The location is perfect. A few minute walk from Shinjukugyoenmae station and a little longer walk to the heart of Shinjuku. It was very easy to spot because of the yellow and blue. The rooms are small for American standards and it was cozy for my husband and I. It was always spotlessly clean and they will wash your dirty...

Service was friendly. We had a small nice studio with a small kitchen but without any window view. This was just a base for excursions to the rest of Tokyo and Nara - and a good one! The hotel was near to the Metro, and not far away from the Railway station. Lots of nice breakfast and lunch-possibilities right around...

I must really compliment Mr Gomikawa for his great help when I was down with a viral attack. I had vomited through the night causing great distress to my wife. It was thanks to him that we were able to get a taxi which sent me to the nearest clinic for medical attention. He had also helped earlier in sending...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
