I must admit that t firtst I was disappointed. Staff on arrival not overly helpful or competent. We had just come from Citadines Kyoto were the staff and room were great. The room is much smaller in Tokyo, bed not as comfortable, no luggage rack for suitcases. But you get over these little things when travelling. Since the booking in...

Tokyo has always been touted as an expensive city so I was initially hesitant to go as it may put too much dent on my savings. Gladly, Citadines proved otherwise. It was affordable but definitely doesn't feel like a cheap place. Since it's a serviced apartment, it was spacious compared to other hotels in Japan. Cleanliness wise, it was spotless....

Everything positive you have read in reviews I agree with. I have experienced nothing negative in anyway. My favorite thing here is the kitchen so I can wake up to a coffee every morning before having to get ready and greet the world. And they do my dishes. Ahhhhhh so good.

The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from Shinjuku station (depending on which exit you take), a 2 minute walk from Shinjuku-Gyoenmae station (M line), or a 7 minute walk from Shinjuku-Sanchome (S,F,M lines). Rooms are en suite, include a small, fully stocked kitchenette, small couch, table, and TV etc. Each room has it's own wifi router with individual password...

This is definitely my favorite hotel in Shinjuku so far! The room is very well laid out and the little kitchen is super functional and a huge plus. The hotel is also close to the metro which makes the location pretty ideal. Nice and quiet, but not too far from all the action! We would absolutely return here.

This was our second stay at the Citadines and once again we loved it. We first stayed here in 2012. The place was just as clean and enough space for the 3 of us. We stayed for 3 nights. Shinjuku-gyoemmae Station Exit 3 has an elevator which was great since we had 1 large suitcase and 2 carry-ons. From this...

Away from hustle and bustle of main Shinjuku station but, near and easy enough to all the action. Nearest Subway station is Shinjuku Gyoemmae (M10) on the Red Marunochi Line. From there 500m to Citadines, a breeze with Google Map. Along the way, numerous small streets with interesting eateries ranging from the small ramen shops to Western style cafes and...

I stayed there for 5 nights with my parents. It is difficult to find a 3 person room hotel in tokyo and I am so glad citadines offered it. I opted for the 28 sqm room so that it will be more spacious. True enough, the room was nice, clean, spacious, the additional bed (from sofa to bed) was ok....

Citadines Tokyo comes highly recommended as a comfortable property with helpful staff and conveniently located. The apartment was spacious and the kitchenette a boon as the area is surrounded by eateries. It is a fifteen minute easy walk to Shinjuku station. Our week at Citadines was a pleasant experience. We are currently staying at Citadines in Kyoto. Cheers - Jules

This hotel is awesome! Spacious and functional, they carefully put into consideration what their guests need. The kitchenette is a big plus. Room was always clean! Staff speak English and are always ready to help. Only disadvantage is it's quite far from the subway station.

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
