Citadines gives a semblance of apartment living that allows a traveller options to cocoon. The same formula is given here. The continental breakfast is a steal in my opinion (only food that you have in the hotel though). It being not even continental with a viand and scrambled eggs. Food was agreeable like most in Japan. The rate was great...

Stayed here for 5nights as a family of 3 (husband, wife & 18 months old baby). We had a double bed studio room. The bed was big enough for the 3 of us. There is no need to pay extra for the sofa bed. It is quite spacious and kitchen is fully equipped (microwave, hot plate, hood, knives, plates etc)...

Staying for 9 nights in 2 rooms as a family of 4. Attentive staff and a well maintained establishment with proximity to a great range of bars and restaurants. Make sure to walk the side streets around Citadines for a great array of food and drink places. Seven eleven is next door, metro is 5mins away, and best of all....Isetan...

we stayed here on the basis of other trip adviser reviews which suggested this was the best quality and price in the area. we were not disappointed. it's not boutiquey, but in true japanese style it was clean, comfortable and functional. there was good wifi coverage in the room as well and a neat bathroom. it's an apartment style-hotel, so...

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The room is quite spacious compare to other hotels around the area. However, one big draw back for me was the water pressure is very week.! Without the water pressure issue it would made our stay more pleasant.

We needed a triple room in Shinjuku area and Citadines is definitely the best choice. It was a 5mins' walk from Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station, 15mins' walk to Shinjuku Sanchrome Station and 20mins' walk to Shinjuku JR. We arrived at Shinjuku Station with our luggages and took a taxi to Citadines. The fare was 730yen and the ride took 5 mins....

We enjoyed our stay here very much. I paid extra for the Studio Premier Double and comparing it to the standard room, I thought it was worth the extra (based on size only). Both room types were large by Japanese hotel standards, but the premier one was that bit larger (good for two people). Both the standard and premier rooms...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
