We stayed here for our first couple of nights in Tokyo and would definitely stay here again. I would also not hesitate to book any hotel in the Mitsui Garden chain. Very neat, clean and modern. Only a couple of minutes walk to the Yotsuya subway station where it was very easy to navigate our way around Tokyo - with...

I stayed at this hotel for four nights in December on my first trip to Japan. The location, room service, food at the restaurant and cleanliness were perfect. But while travelling alone, I ate a raw oyster and became very sick as I was not used to the food in Japan. I became very sick with traveller's diarrhea, a colon...

We chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor reports and were not disappointed. The staff were very efficient and friendly and the hotel was very clean, had everything we wanted and offered excellent value for money. The room was rather small (though was probably larger than most Tokyo rooms at this price) but fine, with a fridge, kettle, full-size bed and...

We enjoyed our visit here at the end of a long trip in Asia. Staff was great, (english could be better), but considering I don't speak Japanese, we were very pleased. Great security, very clean, lots of little extra's. Would stay here again, just wish they had more flexability of time for checkin and out. But they did come through,...

Hotel was only a couple minutes from Yotsuya station (both JR and subway lines) - this is only 9 mins from Tokyo and 5 from Shinjuku Room was compact but roomy enough - good modern hotel. Only complaint was because it was winter the aircon units had been turned off and the rooms were too warm - could open the...

We stayed in this hotel for 1 week and found it excellent. This being Japan the rooms are small but are very cleverly designed so that you do not feel confined. The location is very convenient just minutes from a metro and JR station which had good links to all the areas of Tokyo that we visited. There are some...

This hotel is not really at Shinjuku. Taking the JR get off at Yotsuya stop (the Chuo line) and you have to change lines in order to get to Shinkuku or Shibuya (the Yamamote line). The hotel is very nicely designed , The room was very comfortable, even if it was a bit small, it was very clean and full...

If there is a word for that define the rooms are: spacious (compared to the japanese standard size, not to european ones). New and crystal clean rooms, good service. In a nice neibourghood; there are many japanese restaurants in a close street (just 100 mts). Only bad point: the buffet breckfast is quite deceiving.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days during my stay in tokyo, I loved every second of it! The hotel is about 5 minutes from from the metro station and 15 minutes walk to the fabolous shinjukugyoen. I loved the staff, they spoke english efficiently, they were very helpful. Housekeeping comes in everyday. Room is comfortable and cozy. All...

Staying in Yotsuya / Iidabashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this day, and there are long-standing restaurants with geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.
