I booked this hotel close to the Shinjuku station, but was not sure if I made a good choice. I was afraid the room and bed was going to be too small for 2 adults. But when we got there, this small hotel really impressed me. The room is small, but the double twin bed can fit 2 medium size...

This hotel is at the outskirt of Shinjuku but close to the subway (7 min walk) that are 2 stops from it. The room is small but as expected. As small as it is, it does have a washer & dryer in-room. We tried it, it took 2 hours but did get the work done. Staff is cordial but limited...

I have stayed at this hotel a total of 25+ nights on various occasions, sometimes short and sometimes longer. Generally I'm pleased because it's very practical and convenient. Beds are comfortable and it even has a washer/dryer in the room to deal with laundry. What I don't like is that the staff/management offers zero flexibility in any way. On my...

Great, very clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room had a microwave, fridge, and washing machine/dryer making our stay very convenient. My friend and I enjoyed the 10-15minute walk to shinjuku station though there are also subways right next to the hotel. There is even a hidden shrine in the park across the road. The breakfast was...

We booked this as a reasonably priced option for our 2 nights in Tokyo. It's easy to find - next to the McDonalds - don't worry it's not busy or noisey. Check-in was quick and easy and the rooms are well sized and equipped with your own washing machine and kitchen facilities. We almost forgot all the amenities our rooms...

I was staying for 2 days in January 2017. I've got a room on the 10th floor and it was small but cosy. The amenities was good as it even came with a washer/dryer combination (which was one of the reasons I stayed there after a 3 weeks trip in the rest of Japan). As I had quite a number...

Just arrived Tokyo from Nagoya yesterday on New Year's Eve. Arrived early before checked in time so we just left our baggage at the hotel and went to shibuya waiting for countdown. When we came back at around 2am, just realized the blanket had a smell of Urine... we sprayed sanitizer and refresher to ease the smell...since we don't want...

This hotel is more of a serviced apartment. We had a semi-double room because we booked it quite last minute and there were no twin rooms left. The room itself was very small and one of us had to open the luggage at the entrance while the other takes the space below the tv in front of the bed. There...

The hotel is nestled in a very good location, where you can walk for some important attractions of Tokyo and coffee shop to have breakfast also. Also, there is a subway station near by. I just was unlucky that my room was the smallest category the hotel, and the hotel didn't have rooms above my category available for upgrade. So...

This was a combination business/vacation for one week. I was in a double room for 3 days and then a single for the next 3. I try not to stay in the they same place every time I go to Tokyo but I have now learned my lesson. This place needs a thorough cleaning. The carpet was dirty and ripped...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
