Hotel staff and room rates are attractive. Hotel offers 5 minutes shuttle bus to and from Shinjuku station and hotel. It adds extra benefits to hotel guests. Suggested hotel to offer World if Hyatt members discount food coupons to enjoy food and drinks st the hotel

There is no better word to describe Hyatt Regency Tokyo than to say it is the most satisfactory hotel that I ever stayed especially when I am a choosy type. When my husband and I entered the hotel it gave us a superb cozy feelings. We were immediately surrounded by the atmosphere of "home sweet home". The front desk service was...

This is my 5th or 6th time visit to this property. The hotel was accommodating with my early check-in and offered late check-out. Everything was good until the day I checked-out. I called the bell desk for assistance with my baggage. The phone rang for over a minute, but no one answered. I called the front desk and asked for...

Rooms needs serious refurbishment; The rooms are small and very old style of furnishing. Have travelled and stayed in multiple hotels in Tokyo, this is by far the worst. Does not align to a general reputation of a Hyatt Regency

The Hyatt Regency at Shinjuku is a great western style hotel designed for the business traveler. A short 10 minute walk to Shinjuku station, or take a complementary shuttle provided by the hotel, and you are in the Center of the world's busiest train station. Don't be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of people, or the men with white gloves...

Hotel with nice and spacious lobby but the rooms are way overdue for the needed upgrade. The staff are prompt and attentive and most of them do speak reasonably good English… however Concierge would tend to ‘cut-short’ the conversation even if you have more questions (probably they are too busy). Shuttle bus from hotel to Shinjuku Station provided from 8am...

Overall the experience was enjoyable, with 2 stays in our 13 days in Japan. Airport Limousine bus takes you directly to the hotel, frequent shuttle bus to Shinjuku Station which allows travel around Tokyo easily (unless you get lost in the maze of Shinjuku station). All staff from check-in, house keeping, and so on, were friendly and welcoming. Extremely helpful...

Hotel was a normal OK looking Hyatt regency, but rooms were terrible: small and dingy. I haven't stayed in a motel 6 in a long time, but this is what I would equate it to after staying in other Hyatt properties around the world.

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
