It's located on a quiet backstreet nearby some good Japanese and international restaurants with parking nearby. The hotel offers a very good accommodation standard at a fair price. The attentive staff do a good job on every front, with good local knowledge and advice for the visitor too. It's Clean and quiet with a good breakfast menu and a nice... More

We love this hotel. Its a little bit worn but nothing to worry about. Great location in quiet spot. Heaps of restaurants nearby. Subway and JR rail line nearby. Marvellous staff. Wifi was made available in our room. Our room included washer/dryer & basic kitchen including hot plate, microwave and fridge. No oven which isn't unusual in Japan. Limited English... More

Hard to find by taxi. Make sure u have a Japanese translation. Close to the iidabashi station. However very nice small hotel. Clean rooms. Internet in the room by cable. Wifi only in the lounge. Great area full of small restaurants. It is like a little village in the middle of Tokyo. Loved it. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast... More

This was the first of three hotels I stayed in whilst visiting Tokyo and it was much the quietest and most spacious. The room was large, bright and very quiet. The hotel was situated in a peaceful road away from the bustle of the city but was still only a few minutes walk to the subway station and close to... More

I live very close by and use this hotel to have families and friends stay. Kagurazaka is an up-and-coming very trendy area with SEVEN Michelin star restraints in a very small area. This hotel is in the middle of Kagurazaka, but because of the hidden location, it is not well known, even to Tokyo taxi drivers. A lots of French... More

I stayed at the Agnes Hotel for 10 days on a business trip. It was a great experience, very well connected (next to Idabashi station), close to my company's office and more importantly for Tokyo, big rooms at quite reasonable rates. Also a special mention for the hotel staff, really excellent Japanese hospitality. They went out of their way to... More

I am writing from The Agnes Hotel located in sweet Kakurazaka district of Tokyo and I'll leave tomorrow reluctantly. I had previously stayed at this hotel in December 2011 and even then I wanted to write a very positive Trip Advisor report about it, but sometimes laziness is stronger and takes over. This time I cannot avoid to do it... More

This was my first time in Tokyo and chose the hotel because of close proximity to the British Council. Location is great with the Idibashi metro/train station only a few minutes away and busy local streets with tens of excellent restaurants at all levels o pricing to suit your budget. Rooms were were spacious and comfortable. Best thing about the... More

The Agnes Hotel reminds me of a well run bed and breakfast. It is not a ritzy place, but has everything you need to get by in Tokyo. Staff are very helpful, its close to the subway and lots of great places to east are close by. It is a very good place to stay.

Small hotel very near the British Council office and close to the Iidabashi metro and JR stations. Not a business hotel so lacked some of the usual facilities you might expect and the internet connection, via cable rather than wireless, was free but very slow for the first couple of days of my stay. The hotel only has one (expensive)... More

Staying in Yotsuya / Iidabashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this day, and there are long-standing restaurants with geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.
