We stayed at the Ibis on our last night in Japan, the hotel is just as short walk to the Shinjuku station where you can board the Narita Express for the airport. A clean basic hotel with impeccable service and a functional breakfast. The area near the hotel is a bit noisy but that is balanced against a great location....

I stayed 6days and Everything was good. Clean enough but a bit expensive for Ibis. Room to small hard to move, service average. Lucky i've got the room near all of my friends. Boring breakfast because everyday is same menu

We spent 5 nights at the Ibis Tokyo Shinjuku and we enjoyed it very much. Our room was very clean and we did not mind for it being small since that seems to be a standard in Japan. We did not have a closet - I don´t know if all the rooms don´t have one - but there was plenty...

Had a little difficulty locating the hotel because of Google Maps, but it is just 5 minutes from Shinjuku Station. The room was small, but that is typical for Tokyo. However, the condition and cleanliness were excellent. The buffet breakfast was good with a decent selection of items for a westerner. And key was they serve until 10 a.m., so...

Only a few minutes walk from the train station and airport limousine bus stop. This hotel has your typically Japanese sized business hotel rooms. Unless you've stayed in one, don't expect spacious settings from these rooms. Since you're in Tokyo, then you're really not going to be spending much time in the rooms anyway. Yakitori alley is simply across the...

Very good values for your $$. Good location. Plenty of restaurants, convenient stores. Train station is at first hard to get too. But after the 1st day. One can get to know where/ which direction N/S/E/W. and by Exit #

Hotel is located within 7 minutes walk from Shinjuku station. There is a convenience stall beside the hotel so we don't have to worry about hunger after 10pm. We booked a twin bedroom and it was small and hardly any space for walking. Staffs were helpful; limited food selection for breakfast buffet. Recommended for solo travellers or business trip.

Whenever, i have a business trip to Tokyo, i stay at the ibis hotel, Shinjuku. One of the reason is that i have a menbership card (accor). But that is not the only reason, of course. The loction is near the Shinjuku staton, very convenient for making plans with people. Of course, the people working at the hotel are very...

Staff were very helpful and very nice; room was compact but certainly not the tiniest I've ever been in. Everything was clean and tidy. Buffet breakfast was adequate but not fabulous BUT there was nothing wrong with it, considering the price. Very easy to get to and enough local cafes etc to keep me happy after a big day out.

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
