This hotel is just few mins walk from Ikebukuro station. Easy access to shopping, dining, and JR station. The room is clean and comfortable. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Free wifi in all rooms. Recommend it for short stay in Tokyo.

Stayed here for three nights whilst in Tokyo. Was delighted. Rooms a decent size, room for suitcases on the floor. Had all the amenities needed, and the shampoo and conditioner were lovely. The rooms were spotless and the staff very very friendly and helpful. A great location for pottering about, day and night. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and...

Decent budget hotel, good location near to a main train station, though tiny rooms. They claim the receptions are English speaking, which can be important to tourists, but my experience was patchy, with making ourselves clear when checking in proving difficult. Still, a recommendation.

Good option for a hotel in the heart of Tokyo, its location is ideal because it's in the middle of the shopping district and at few minutes from the public transportation.. the hotel is very clean, rooms are comfortable and personnel is nice

Nice hotel in a good location. Rooms were a little small, but were made up early and staff were pleasant. Lobby is also surprisingly small but has a 24/7 coffee karafe/area which I so appreciated. There's an Italian Restaurant on the second floor where a breakfast buffet is served from 7.00 - 10.00am. I wasn't that impressed with the selection...

I stayed here for 2 nights in a twin room. The room was quite spacious and modern. No wardrobe but you could hang things on hooks and hangers provided. The shower was good and body wash, shampoo and conditioner were provided as well as a hairdryer. There was also a kettle in the room and free coffee in the lobby....

Stayed here for nights and it was a welcome place after a long-haul flight and being awake for over 36 hours. I had the superior single room. Although small, it was spotless, conveniently located to train and subway hub at Ikebukuro Station, and there are lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Loved the rainfall shower, which was especially nice to...

We stayed here for 3 nights on the last leg of our holiday in Japan. Our rooms were very clean and the bathrooms are very modern with a fabulous shower! My room was very comfortable with a bed, couch and a small desk in the corner as well as the larger bench for the TV and coffee/tea making facilities. My...

This was my fourth time staying at The B Ikebukuro. The location is just perfect! Only 5 minutes walk from the Ikebukuro JR Station. And within 15 minutes walk you could have access to a lot of large shopping malls and department stores. The only weak point was that sometimes it could be quite noisy at night.

The hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of location & amenities offered. There are restaurants, duty free drug /beauty stores, gadgets shops everywhere as hotel is located right smack in the shopping area. There's coffee machine at the lobby where guests can help themselves to and the beds are very comfortable. We had triple sharing room with small toilet with...

Neighbourhood Profile
Ikebukuro
Ikebukuro is an area of massive development. Several thousand tenants occupy two giant department stores and shopping malls, where all sorts of shopping and gourmet foods can be enjoyed. The 60-story building at the east entrance of the station, Sunshine City, is a landmark within Ikebukuro and features an aquarium, planetarium, theme park as well as an observation platform. The popular name for the western side of this area is "Otome Road" (Maiden Road) and there are many shops selling products related to anime with a female theme. It has rapidly become the worldwide headquarters for ‘otaku’ or geek culture.
