My top choice to stay in Ueno in this price range. There are better one in the area but more costly, also cheaper one but much older and farther from the central. Stayed 3 nights with twin room at 17sqm. The hotel is located just 3 minutes walk from Ueno Ameyoko, very close to train stations with all the foods,... More

Walk only 3-5 mins from Subway and JR Yamanote Line and surrounded by many good restaurants in Ueno. Very close to Takeya Shopping Building and Ameyoko street. The room is clean and comfort. The staff is very nice and good in English. Breakfast can be take out. Will be back for sure :)

Just out of expectation, the room is really clean and cozy, nice equipped with air cleaner machine. A few minutes walk you can reach the Ueno station, also have so many restaurants and store nearby!

Great friendly receptions always trying to please their guest. I simply love their toiletries, seem every thought have been put in no matter after hard day of work or shopping. The aromatherapy soap will put you into a relax mode. Not forgetting their shaver, body sponges, combs and toothbrush are of all high qualities. Pillows are also one of my... More

Newly renovated, room space and cleanliness are considerably fine for the price. Shopping street is just two blocks away, train station is about 5minutes walk. Ueno Park & Ameyoko Street is just by the corner. Breakfast was okay cafe staffs are quicky and friendly, I will advise go down earlier or take-away. The cafe is rather small. Unfortunately, they have... More

This place is super convenient. Close to JR Ueno station, Ueno shopping street and plenty of yakitori and ramen eateries. The room is a little small, but is clean and comfoetable. We enjoyed our 2 nights stay and i highly recommended this place to travellers.

No muss, no fuss . just a very clean , modern and basic hotel . The rooms are not spacious but they lack of NOTHING ! One would think that this hotel was created for business people. Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
