It located in the good area. There are JR-Ueno Station and Tokyo Metro Inaricho Station which you can reach in a few minute on foot. The room has a mini kitchen which you can cook an easy meal. And there are also Yoshinoya, Matsuya, Sukiya, and Maruetsu Super Market(discount price start at 8 pm) nearby.

I would recommend this to anyone, especially those with young children. We stayed in the triple room. The room was fully equipped to cook porridge and noodles - rice cooker, stove, pot, knife, chopping board, plates, bowls, utensils, dish detergent, wash sponge, kettle, microwave and a big fridge. There was clean sheets and towels everyday. There was nice shampoo and...

Nice place to stay with reasonable prices. Rooms come with kitchenette and close to a number of restaurants and convenient stores and even a supermarket (which are all around 3 mins walk only). The restaurants around the area are small but priced reasonably and good. Location wise, it is only 5 minutes walk from the JR Ueno Station and around...

This is my first time to visit Japan. This hotel is quite close to JR Ueno station, about 5 minutes walk from Inariya exit. However, if you travel from Narita airport using Keisei train, it would take about 20-25 minuteswalk from Keisei Ueno station to the hotel. I booked a twin room. The room is compact and has cooking facilities....

It would be best to provide simple breakfast (FOC or at charge). Add vending machines for snacks and drinks. Also provide lugguage storage would be helpful and fine. A safe to be provided inside the room could be important for long stay guests.

It was a excellent value for money accommodation for my family and I. Being in close proximity to Ueno station (about 10 min walk with backpack), with fully-packed restaurant choices (Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Korean) and 24-hour supermarket are superb. The 1-bedroom apartment is well-sized and complete amenities including heater, aircon, internet access, TV, microwave oven, stove, water kettle, refrigerator, basin,...

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
