If you arrive at Haneda the Toei Asakusa line takes you right to the Asakusa area without the need to change trains. This is advantageous as you don't want to lug your heavy luggage around looking for the correct platform if you have to change trains. Same for when you depart but not all trains go to Haneda. There will be signs to tell you if the approaching train is going to Haneda. If you go to subway entrance A2b there is an elevator. From the subway entrance it is a short walk to the hotel. But there are many APA hotels around the same vicinity. Make sure you get the right one. Check in was fast and easy. Access to the lift is via key card. The room is typical of most mid range hotels, small with little space to move around but with all the necessary amenities. There was a fridge, kettle, tv, slippers, toiletries. The bathroom is also typical, tight space with a small bathtub, wc with integrated bidet. Check out is early 10am but you can keep your luggage with them. The staff is very helpful. The hotel is close to the Sensoji Temple and the Sumida Park. The tourist information centre is also nearby as are convenience stores and many restaurants and shops. Asakusa is a nice part to be in but be aware that this part of Tokyo is farther from the centre of town than Shinjuku or Shibuya. Subway travel will take longer time and fewer connections.

The APA Asakusa Kaminarimon Hotel delivers due to its location, amenities, breakfast options, and excellent customer service. Our student group stayed in May/June in this hotel and next door, Kaminarimon Minami. Both hotels are great, but this one stands out for having all the amenities the business traveler needs. First, it has a washer and dryer on the first floor, while the other hotel next door does not have one. The restaurant Tsunagu, serves breakfast to both hotels, and it provides a wide variety of breakfast options, including drinks. The staff members were friendly each morning and worked 30 minutes earlier to accommodate our team. Rooms are decent and are meant to meet the business traveler, approximately 100 sq. ft. The front desk staff was more than attentive to our requests and was able to extend a helping hand. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will consider this hotel for next year as we plan our next student group visit.

Nice budget hotel near senso-ji temple and asakusa station. convenient stores are in walking distance. halal restaurants also nearby, like asakusa halal kabab, halal sushi ken and halal wagyu panga are most famous halal options in Asakusa. Hotel was clean and provide all amenities. Reception people can speak english and polite. Overall nice stay :)

We stayed here in August 2019... great trip. We are staying here now, and find that the Aircon is switched off in the winter. The desk says to have air we must open our window. So it's either roast or stay awake because of outside noise. We're paying the same price, so it's not clear why Aircon is no longer included....

PLUS POINTS + location is just 4 minutes walk from asakusa station + you can ride keihan line subways from haneda without transfer to asakusa station + full packed facility.. love the shiseido product for shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner. My husband said their shaver is a good quality. Also the toothbrush is so soft. There is also hairdryer and kettle with a good quality + new building and clean + the surrounding area fits me.. its more like a quite ans clean neighbourhood. + service is excellent.. well I accept that most japanese dont speak english fluently.. but they are very helpfull and friendly.. from the reception to cleaning service -they have vending machine,coin laundry, and ice machine
OTHER POINTS - room size is just very small.. i think 2 people in a room is a maximum. But it is not fair to say that it is a minus points.. since all hotel in Japan is also so small.. well I managed to open 2 suitcase (photo included). Although i have to close my suitcase every morning but its not a problem for me and my husband - I dont use their breakfast so I can not say much about it. All I know is their restaurant is quite small. For me.. I can find breakfast easily in seven eleven or nearest restaurant like the famous Ichiran Ramen is just 10-12 minutes away

As you have mentioned, our hotel is located in Asakusa area, and which is very close to Asakusa station. Also, the guest can come to Asakusa station directly from Narita airport and Haneda airport. Our room are compacted, however we introduce high quality amenities and comfortable environment even though the room are made it compacted. We are improving amenities a lot. We really glad that you like about the shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Also we have vending machine ,coin laundry (washer and dryer), microwave and ice machine on the first floor. There are a lot of restaurant around our hotel. Not only restaurants but also super market nearby. It is very convenient for go sightseeing around Asakusa area. Location is pretty good, close to touristy stuff and transportation.
Room while small (typical Tokyo) packs plenty of technology and convenience into the package. Bed was comfy (if a bit short), wifi was good, everything works.
Restaurant on site, breakfast about 1k yen per person.
My main nitpick was that the pillows were tiny of and very flat. Otherwise, solid hotel for one person. If you have more than 1 person, even a couple, this is a tight fit.

As you mentioned, our hotel is close to 3 lines of Asakusa station, and it is nice access to other areas of Tokyo, Narita, Haneda both airports. Around here, there are many kinds of restaurants (especially Japanese) , shops and sightseeing sites such as Sky tree, Sensou-ji temple etc. Our guest rooms are a bit compact, in order to get our price down and kindness for the environments, however you can stay continent and comfortable. Our beds are developed with Sealy company, and you can sleep like on the cloud. Our pillow is also one of our own products, and it is quite flat and thin, but if you would like to have thick one, we do not prepare a lot but we have, please ask to reception. Our restaurant, OKAMISAN DINING is particular with qualities of their ingredients. When you visit around here again, please stay at our hotel again. We are looking forward to seeing you again. This hotel is new and great location.. It is just 3 minutes walk to the main tourist area in asakusa (Nakamise Street and Sensoji Temple) and it is just less than 5 minutes walk to train station.. If you plan to visit tokyo with cheap price of hotel i really suggest this hotel...

I loved my stay in this hotel. It was the first hotel we stayed in on our tour of Japan. The room is very compact but very well designed with all the modern high tech features you would expect in Japan. Bed was very comfortable and I slept really well. Everything was so clean and tidy. The toiletries in the bathroom were good quality and the housekeeping was very efficient. Also the location is great as you’re so close to the metro station, convenience store and tourist attractions. I would definitely stay here again.

We cannot expect better price-service, perfectly clean, new, very close to the subway and a wonderful touristic spot, way better than expected. You can clean your clothes per only 100Y and then dry them. So happy!

This hotel is well located in a quiet, somewhat unattractive side road...because of its location you would need to walk almost right up to it before it comes into view. The area is safe despite appearances and I would suggest that this is a typical neighbourhood. It’s between two and five minutes from Asakusa Metro Station depending what entrance you go through. Entrances A4 on Asakusa Line and 1 on Ginza Line seemed best placed to me. Reception was good, staffed by friendly, enthusiastic people and the process was painless. The rooms are small, even by Japanese standards. I stayed in a double that was adequate for me, but would have been very small for a couple. Wardrobe consisted of six coat hangers on coat hooks attached to the wall behind the entry door. There’s a desk that extends the length of the bed which is adequate, a fridge and kettle with hairdryer in the draw of the desk. Bed is comfortable enough with typically Japanese pillows which tend to be on the hard side for most western tastes. A large, HD flat screen television is attached to the wall at the end of the bed. Only one English language channel on offer, BBC World News which is pretty typical of this style of hotel. Video on Demand is available at 1,000 Yen for 24 hours with a decent selection of English language movies if that is what you want. The combination bathroom / toilet is the usual small Japanese cabin affair with a high, raised step to get into and a toilet that is a bit of a squeeze to sit on. The tub is typically deep and would be a problem for the average western male to sit in. However, for me, it was only used as a shower. Shower BTW was excellent with good pressure and temperature. The room had excellent air conditioning...I stayed when it was very humid and warm and was able to cool the room down very quickly when I returned from a day out. In room cleanliness was also top notch. There’s an onsite cafe, but I never tried it so unable to offer a review. I haven’t stayed at APA hotels on previous trips to Japan, mainly staying at Daiwa Roynet hotels that offer more space for just a little more money. I will be staying at a different branch of APA in Tokyo at the end of this trip and it will be interesting to compare the two. Would I return? Yes, but only after checking out other hotel prices first.
