We are a family of 2 adults + 3 kids, who stayed at Mimaru Inaricho for 8 days. We were very happy with the best decision of our trip to stay here.
1. People One of the most important aspect of the accommodation is the people that are there, and the personnel at this hotel are wonderful people. The team is always very supportive and helpful, and really helped me out with food recommendations around the area. Oftentimes, Gina would help me out in the mornings as we start out day, with where is a good place for breakfast, and directions to attractions. In the evenings, Shu would help me out with places for dinner.
2. Location
Subway This location really worked out well for our family’s requirements and needs. It is very walkable. In that it is about 5 min walk or less to the nearest subway station (Inaricho). The station itself has the Ginza line and that was very useful to go to Asakasa, Ginza and Nihombashi.
Food: There are many eating places, that suited our family within a 5 – 10 min walking radius. So it was very useful and convenient for us to go for dinner after a long day and return back to the hotel after that.
Supermarket There is a 24 hour supermarket about 3 min walk away. Literally, turn left and then turn left, and you are there. So very convenient for getting essentials, and snacks.
3. Food
Breakfast wise, we either grabbed sandwiches from the supermarket, MacDonalds is also about a 5 min walk away. Or Café Katsura (7 min walk – Gina’s rec for simple sandwiches and coffee).
Dinnerwise, the hotel will have plenty of recommendations for you. But there is also one restaurant that we chanced upon walking around. It is about 10 – 15 walk from the hotel. And we had really great Italian food at very reasonable prices, so much that we went back to eat twice during the week that we were there. It is called PizzaKing, seriously delicious and at such reasonable prices, but take note that it accepts cash only. Love this place so much. Service is good too. Best to make reservations if possible.

The first impression when we walked in the hotel, it's new, modern and contemporary. We stayed here for 4 nights with 2 adults and 2 kids. The room is spacious enough with 2 twin beds and 2 futons.
The kitchenette is complete with utensils. It is everything you need to make simple meal. You can borrow bread toaster, rice cooker or some other appliances at the reception.
There is no washing machine in the room but there is a laundry machine and dryer at Ground Floor.
There is a supermarket which is just 2 minutes walk, however it was closed for few days for renovation during our stay, which is sad because we didn't get to enjoy much of the affordable and variety of grocery. We have to get it from the convenience store instead which is just opposite road of the supermarket.
The apartment is located between 2 train stations of Ueno and Inaricho, which is about 10 minutes walking distance.
I would recommend it to family with young children as not many are offering such a spacious room in that area.

We stayed for 8 nights at Mimaru and really enjoyed our stay. The Japanese-style room we stayed in is spacious and clean. Our kids love the futon beds. The staff are very friendly and speak good English. It’s also handy to have coin laundry services at the hotel especially when you have young children travelling with you. The location of the hotel is also convenient and just a short walk to a few different train lines. We’d love to stay at Mimaru again next time we visit Tokyo.

We stayed in the Mimaru Apartment Hotel for one night after seeing the Pokemon suite in articles on social media. The room looked fantastic, true Japanese minimalism but with a great touch.The room was a lovely size, it was of course for a family but bigger than most hotel rooms in Tokyo. The room was spotless and the kitchen area looked as though it had never been used. The wallpaper, table, carpet and bedspread looked great and the cherry on the top was the large Snorlax plushy on the bed to snuggle up with. The staff were lovely upon arriving and had great English. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely be staying again!

This apartment hotel is amazing! Our room was spacious with the toilet area separated from the main shower area, which was very convenient for our family of 4. The kitchen has a stove, good size fridge, microwave, tea kettle, dish soap, utensils, plates, cups, and bowls, everything we need for our 10-day stay. The beds, even the sofa beds, were comfortable with nice clean comforters and pillows. The location is just perfect-close to different subway stations, Ueno Keisei Skyliner station (train from Narita airport) is within walking distance, and many restaurants and local eateries nearby. Coin laundry was reasonably priced and easy to operate. This is not a super touristy area which means you see a fair amount of tourist and still able to experience everyday local life. I would be remiss if I did not mention the EXCEPTIONAL services provided by the staff at this hotel. We encountered a minor issue, which was actually our fault, after checking in. The staff at the front desk went above and beyond their duties to help us resolve the issue. I would HIGHLY recommend staying at Mimaru Tokyo Ueno Inaricho, you need to book early because they sell out fast!

Conveniently located near the Ueno and Inaricho stations, the hotel is great for family travellers. As a family of four we sometimes find it difficult to fit ourselves in a double or twin bed room. Mimaru offers a solution by offering a tatami area for my kids to sleep (some other rooms do sofa beds). Room is clean and fully equipped, and appliances such as toaster can be borrowed. Daily cleaning is kept to a minimum but sufficient. Staff is friendly and proficient in English.

Big, clean and neat room that well served for big family or a group of friends. It is so Spacious than most of the hotel rooms found in tokyo and you have enough space to open your luggages. Love our stay in the place, the only bad thing i would say is the location, it takes more walking from metro or JR station to the hotel and the convenience store is a few blocks away. Overall we are very satisfied with almost everything, and definitely will have second time with mimaru very soon!
