Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Very well located just a short walk to the main Ueno station and also a short distance to the markets with a few nice bars and restaurants nearby. Very clean, compact room (standard size for Tokyo), with tea and coffee in the lobby for guests which was great. Basic toiletries also provided for in the bathroom as well. Would stay here again.

We, a group of three, stayed in a private room for 4 people with 2 bunk beds. The room is compact but comfortable and clean. The toilet is a little bit small than expected. Location is very good, just a few minute to JR station and metro. If you are travel in group and with tight budget, I definitely recommend it!

Stayed here for 3 nights with my dad on our trip. Great location with easy access to the train station and subway stations. Close to so many food options. Lots of toiletries that are provided and free coffee, tea, and snacks in the lobby. We stayed in a 2 bed tatami room and it was fairly spacious, considering the Japanese standard but the bathroom was SMALL. Very quiet hotel. Never heard any other guests. Would stay here again.

Very good locatin , very near to Okachimachi station in Yamanote line. The hotel quite new and clean. They have coffee machine in front of receptionist, so you can enjoy your coffee all day. The receptionist in the second floor, first floor is cafe shop

Excellent location. Close to Ueno station which has direct train to the airport. Easy walking distance to Ueno park, zoo, markets and Akihabara. Room was decent and pretty typical of Tokyo hotels. Staff were friendly but surprisingly couldn’t speak English. I’d go back to this hotel.

Think this hotel is new or refurbished- it’s lovely anyway and very close to Ueno station and great area for dinning in evening across the street. We got bunk beds for 4 but they are a generous size and I love it! Very good overall and would stay again.

Booked a double bed room for one person for total of 3 nights at this hotel. Stay was almost perfect.
Pro: 1. Only few minutes walk from Keisei Skyliner, JR and Metro. 2. 7-11 next to hotel and Family Mart opposite of road. 3. Hotel situated opposite streets of eateries, pharmacies, gaming arcades, clothing stores, grocer, and more! 4. Free coffee/tea in lobby. 5. Sound proof rooms as you could tell by the way room door closes. You couldn't hear slamming doors or people talking along the corridor. 6. Clean and new hotel. 7. Deep bathtub and nice smelling soft bath towel. 8. Strong water pressure for showering. 9. Majority of amenities provided. 10. Individual air-con/heating for room. 11. Provided in room fabric freshener spray for clothing after back from BBQ in enclosed space. 12. Sounds of water flowing in streams and birds chirping when you entered the corridor to enter or leaving the room was wonderful.
Con: Room space was tight.
There was a restaurant that served breakfast and lunch but I did not try. There was no dinner service but you could easily solved this issue, as there were lots of options just opposite of hotel.
Value for money as some higher class hotels don't even have sound proof rooms.
Definitely will be back.

This hotel is brand new. The location was great. Only few steps to Ueno metro (exit3). 10 mins walk from Keisei Ueno and Ueno JR station. 5 mins to Ameyoko market just walk across the road. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Many convenience stores located around the hotel.
Hotel lobby at 2nd floor. Staffs can understand and communicate in English. There are 2 elevators and if you stay at floor 9-11 need to use right elevator only. Restaurant(only available for breakfast and lunch), smoking room,vending machine, laundry, ice machine and microwave are at 2nd floor. Near the front office also has free coffee machine and various choice of pillows (in room has 2 pillows)
Room size was compact but functional. Bed and blanket were comfy. Restroom was small but clean with full toiletries. Checkin and Checkout were fast. Inroom Wifi worked well and fast. Breakfast buffet was great with just 1296 yen (pay at checkin time) with many choice of food and also has some western food. They even have chocolate fondue !!
Overall we are very satisfy our stayed at this hotel will stay here again for the next trip we travel Tokyo.

This hotel is so new that it still has 'new car smell'. Such a nice change from old and damaged hotels. They have done a lot to make it a pleasant stay: free coffee/chocolate drinks from machine in lobby, brand new machines in coin laundry, pleasant bird/forest sounds in lobby and hallway, lift locked to only your floor, even a rooftop terrace! WiFi was super fast, much better than I get at home. And also, the location is very convenient to Ueno station.
I was happy with the extra bonus of late check out because of booking on hotel website. Booking part is only in Japanese, but auto translation in Google Chrome browser made it easy enough to use.
I've stayed in other hotels with 11-12 square metre rooms, and compared to those, my room here felt bigger.
I highly recommend staying here for anyone coming to Tokyo.

Perfect place to discover the surroundings of Tokyo, you are in the middle of the lical population. Small tidy rooms, friendly staff, breakfast with continental touch, nuce view on roof terrace. One small minuce: no possibility for relaxation outside room, no bar, no public place.
