We stayed in a twin share my son and i. We are both 6 feet tall. Walked into the room and it felt like walking into a small study. Great location close to train station and very clean. Bathroom was clean but very small and heads nearly touched the ceiling.

We stayed here for 8 nights over the New Year period in a non-smoking double room (supposedly). I say this because it did smell a bit like smoke, particularly when I used the hair dryer. The hotel is located very close to the west exit of the JR Asakusabashi station on the Chuo/Sobu line, and also quite close to the...

Thank you for choosing our hotel. We appriciate your detailed review. As you said, there are many restaurant and PUB around our hotel. Also our Hotel is very convenient for transportation. Guests can go easily to main place of Tokyo. However,we are sorry about a cleaning service for no refilled soap and shapoo, then for the button of the robs. I...

Very easy to get to using JR lines and to find once at Asakusabashi (look up across the train tracks and you should see the building and sign). Price was very good for the hotel - room was clean, had the amenities we needed, and was close to shops. We only stayed here one night as an in transit lodging,...

I'm sure there are other locations in Tokyo to stay in and other hotels comparable, but we had only four nights in total in the big city, over two separate stays, and this place was ideal. On our last day we spent time at the Tokyo museum, an area just a few stops away, with markets and good shopping, and...

You could actually reach many local attraction easily such as Tokyo Tower and Skytree. Even Akihabara is only 10 minutes walking. For muslim travelers, there is a nearby Halal ramen and yakiniku shop, Naritaya and Yakiniku Panga.

Great location. So many places to eat around the hotel, and lots of convenient stores which have everything you'd want... including one right next door! The room had everything we needed: fridge, kettle, tv, desk, bathroom etc. Staff were very helpful, we had our luggage sent from Mystays to Kyoto and it worked perfectly! Location is the best part of...

The best thing of this hotel is the position. Is super close to the Asakusabashi JR stop, which makes really easy from there to explore the city using the JR pass. Rooms are a little small like usually in Japan, but they are cleaned and nice. The convenience store on the first floor is useful. Staff is super helpful. The...

If you're expecting luxury, this is not the hotel for you. But if you're looking for a good and cheap option, you should try this hotel. He is really close to a train Station, clean, from a good hotel chain. Really good. My only concern: the room is small. Not too small, but small.

+ Exellent location right near West exit of Akusabashi JR station. Just show your JR pass and off you are to anywhere in the city. A typical busy business hotel. Well equiped but tiny room, some with view to Tokio Sky Tree. Several supermarkets near. Walking below the tracks towards East Exit of JR Station, choice of small restaurants, some...

We stayed 2 night, the hotel located just 2 minutes walk from west exit JR Asakusabashi Station. From Tokyo station take chuo line and stop at Akihabara and take train to Asakusbashi Great location and the room bigger 14 m2 if compare from mystays osaka conference centre. But mystays osaka conference more modern than here.

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
