This was our second stay and it did not disappoint. The hotel is so convenient: close to the train station, a Lawson downstairs and supermarkets nearby, local area maps and free bathroom amenities available in reception and an easy walk to Asakusabashi. We also walked to Asakusa from the hotel which was very pleasant. The staff are helpful and, although...

Thank you very much for your stay at Hotel Mystays Asakusabashi. We are very glad to see your review. As you say, there is JR Asakusabashi station 1 minute by walk from west exit, and the convenience store LOWSON is attached at the 1 floor. We also have lots of amenities. For example, combs, lotions for face, shaver, and body...

Stayed from 21 Jul - 28th Jul. Very satisfied with the room. It's very common to have small room in Japan. We choose a room with kitchenette, no regrets coz we did light cooking in our room. There's a supermarket behind the hotel, Lawson downstairs & another convenient store a few steps away. Also near to JR. Very convenient to...

It was the best option, cheap to be in Tokyo and best of all, it has a Lawson handy at the lobby, super friendly staff and also English friendly. Staff at the hotel is happy to help in anything and everything, they also didn't complain as we carried a bicycle in and out of the hotel, and even in the...

My partner and I stayed 3 nights and really liked the hotel and the area of town. Close to both metro and train station, and all facilities nearby. No breakfast but shop next door has what we needed for breakfast and snacks. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room is small but not smaller than expected based on reviews we'd read...

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and were really satisfied. Yes, the rooms are quite small, but that's not unusual for Japan, and it was clean and tidy (unless you take a closer look at the ventilation shaft in the bathroom etc., but it was ok). The free laundry room is also extremely convenient if you travel for...

Like with any decently priced hotel in Tokyo the rooms are a bit small but it has everything you need. The laundry facilities are quite good we used them a few times and the side door into the convenience store was very handy for getting breakfast and snacks. The Wi-Fi had pretty good coverage and decent speed too. Like most...

Mystays Asakusa-bashi is nothing fancy, and that's fine. It's designed as a low-budget hotel option, and it delivers beyond expectations. The rooms are very small - only about enough room to open the suitcase next to the double bed, but it is well put-together. There's a desk and small TV, and the bathroom is lovely. The shower has a moveable...

been on a road trip and every hotel so far has rock hard pillows and beds. This one has soft beds and memory foam pillows. And the room was under ¥10,000. There was a ¥1600 parking fee for my motorcycle. Really close to a lot of resturants and shops and the train system.

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
