This is just a beautiful place to stay. It couples old ryokan values with a modern twist. We had booked a double room which was inadequate given our luggage so the staff did all they could to move us to a king which they did for two nights out of three. The outside onsen was awesome..the huge bed and sleep quality was great. The bathroom products were excellent too ! It’s located 10 minute walk from G line into the heart of Tokyo and the bigger bonus the A line which goes direct into Haneda airport without a change so easy for your travelling purposes. It’s also five minutes from the incredible shrine here which you need to see at night to fully appreciate.
One for the best hotels I have ever booked .. Just fantastic ! Highly recommended.. Enjoy !

I stayed here for 6 nights, and had wonderful time!! The hotel was so nice and clean, also the staffs were very friendly and helpful, they gave us the direction to the skytree ( we could walk to there for 15mins:)), and made a reservation for french restaurant there. Especially, the bath room was gorgeous!! We stayed at corner twin room. Half-open bath was so nice with fresh air but bit cold in this season. It must be wonderful in spring to see Cherry blossam, river, and Tokyo skytree from balcony. I heard there is a fireworks festival in summer over the river. The Access to Asakusa downtown is so good, about 10 mins walk. Definitely recommend!!

Thank you for staying at this hotel. I am glad that I enjoyed my stay in Asakusa. Cherry blossoms bloom in Sumida Park in April. It will surely be an unforgettable memory. The open-air bath may be little cold in this season. From now on,you will be able to experience different things from spring and summer. We are looking forward to seeing you again. The prostyle ryokan is located just outside
Of the heart of Asakusa on a busy road. The noise of the road cannot be heard at all inside the ryokan. It’s a short walk to the center of Asakusa and the temple. There are many great restaurants nearby. The hotel has a shabu shabu restaurant. The ryokan is clean, people at the reception are very helpful. The rooms are clean, spacious by Tokyo standards and the beds quite comfortable. We had a room with a private shower and a separate bath tub outside, very nice to soak in the early morning (when it’s not to hot yet). There was also a balcony with chairs and a table —but temperatures didn’t allow us to use it. The room is wel appointed and has everything you need. It has a clean but traditional Japanese atmosphere. The Japanese breakfast is fantastic and highly recommended, wel worth the money.

A great location that is within 5-10min walk of the Asakusa Station, the Sensoji Temple, the Tokyo Skytree and all the joys of Asakusa eateries and drinking holes

The decor is a modern twist of the traditional ryokan style and it works well

The rooms were cozy, but never felt crowded, due to the tatami style beds and set up of the room and bathroom
Our water bottles were topped up everyday and they had plenty of other drink options in the lobby too
Whole place was clean and quiet and offered that zen like feeling you would expect

Staff were all friendly and extremely proficient in speaking English - even offered the ability to leave a suitcase behind, knowing we would be returning to Tokyo after 10 days of exploring other parts of Japan, which was a huge blessing
We basically left behind the case full of all the shopping we did in Tokyo 🤦🏻‍♂️😂
This made life sooo much easier for us as we travelled around the rest of Japan

A typhoon struck us when we stayed, so we were extremely fortunate that on the second floor, they had a very good restaurant with a wonderful waitress and top chef - saved us getting caught in the high winds and heavy rain

Looking forward to coming back…and to also collect our case before we fly out 😊

Was very pleased with my stay here. Clean and cozy with a more traditional Japanese feel. Check in/check out was a breeze, a quick walk down the street to Asakusa Station so getting to/from the trains was easy. Cute outdoor shopping area a few blocks away with very active restaurant and shopping area, plus near the river with a beautiful river walk/park. Very beautiful at night.

Booked a double room, but didn't realise how ridiculously small it was. There was no room on either side of the bed, so had to crawl onto it. The ledge above the bed to store a glass of water was so high it wasn't in reach. Turning over at night I kept hitting the tv set which was on the wall on the side of the bed ( impossible to watch from that vantage point). We had 2 medium suitcases on the floor but that blocked access to the handbasin and toilet. Impossibly small room, we had to upgrade to a larger one. The so- called "western breakfast" consisted of a salad, soup, a ridiculously small portion of fruit ( two grapes made up 50% of the fruit) and a couple of tiny bread rolls . The coffee wasn't much good either. The hotel is close to the Asakusa station which was one good thing. But I can't recommend this place really. Pretends to be a ryokan with a noren outside the front door and slippers / yukata provided but really it's just a small modern hotel.

Away from the busier, newer, noisier areas of Tokyo, this is a very pleasant small hotel. The rooms are not big, but very well appointed and spotlessly clean. The private onsen was a bonus. (Try to book a "01 room" - 1101, 1201 etc for the onsen.) Japanese breakfast and dinner in the restaurant good and good value. The hotel is very close (5 minute walk) to subway - Asakusa and Ginza lines, Ushijima Shrine, Tokyo Skytree and good shopping. One of the best Ramen restaurants in Tokyo is a block away. What made our stay special was the staff, particularly Ayumi the Manager. A real gem! Everything, including dealing with a health emergency, forwarding luggage and ever changing plans was handled with ease. Already we are planning our next visit to Tokyo in 2024 and we'll be staying here again. 8 1/2 out of 10.

We stayed as a family of 4 in a corner twin room with sky tree view (level 11). We found Prostyle Ryokan to be a delightful new boutique hotel with quality fixtures and fittings. Traditional style with tatami mats and bedding on the floor. Best features were the large balcony looking out over the Sumida River and the Skytree, and the deep semi-open air bath (although this is very enclosed). Room size is not large and the ceiling height is quite low, but bathroom is big. Not too much interaction with staff, but the lobby is pleasant and free tea and coffee available by the entrance.

Great hotel tor families with young children, there us a lovely playpark opposite the hotel and next to the river. Rooms are very comfortable with huge bathrooms and nice balconies. Tea and coffee are available all day on the ground floor.
Location is great for exploring Asakusa and is very close to Asakusa station on the Ginza line.
We didn’t eat at the hotels so can’t comment on breakfast

We had a great stay at this Pension very comfortable , new and very clean.
Coffee and lemon water are available free of charge at the reception.
The staff is very kind and helpful , some of them are perfectly bilingual in English and it is very appreciative and safe because they helped me send my luggage to another Pension .
The breakfast it proposed is INCREDIBLE! We chose the Japanese breakfast.
The bone on the balcony is very nice.
This is a Pension / Ryokan that I strongly recommend
