Detailed Reviews
Arrived early before 3pm check in time so had to store luggage. Walked around to Ameyokocho market, Uniqlo and Don Quijote nearby. Uniqlo building has crafts and sewing notions store on 7th floor, 100 yen store on B2 level and supermarket on B1 level. Hotel in good location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our luggage already in room when we checked in and paid. Front desk explained all hotel amenities in English. 2nd floor vending and ice machines and coin operated laundry washer and dryer. Can check if in use or available from room TV screen. If you sign up to be a member, 10% off stay and free bottle of water per guest. Amenities for pickup in elevators lobby - toothbrush and toothpaste, razor and shaving gel, comb

Hotel's Favourite
Very impressed with Hotel Monday Okachimachi.
Our room was far from large, but it was modern, tasteful, clean, and thoughtfully arranged. There was even a couch of sorts beside our bed, so plenty of room for our luggage. Electrical ports were accessible, and the bathroom facilities were sleek and high tech.
The front desk gave us two bottles of water for free each day we declined room service. The hotel breakfast buffet wasn’t included in our room rate, but it only cost like 3600 yen for both of us (so something like $22 total each day). This was our favorite breakfast of the trip, so we were happy to pay it. Moreover, breakfast began at 6:30am, so this helped us early risers get an early start to our day.
The hotel’s breakfast area doubled as a viewpoint for the nighttime cityscape, with the rainbow-hued Tokyo Skytree providing us a free light show each evening. The vibe was made very pleasant, with relaxed jazz, a couple of neon light fixtures, and an assortment of free tea or sake for your nightcap.
Finally, between 8:45pm-9:30pm, a small bowl of complimentary ramen was offered, just in case you needed that late night snack.
All of these small touches helped us settle into a pleasant routine, and helped us feel at home.
In terms of location, the Okachimachi neighborhood was sort of residential and quiet, but on just the other side of the busy street was the bustling Ameyoko. So, arguably the best of both worlds. Several train stations (including Yamanote line access) were also in close proximity, along with some shops (including a Daiso), restaurants, and convenience stores.
We did take a taxi from Haneda Airport to this hotel, just to simplify that connection.
All in all, I was very happy with this hotel. In terms of quality for the price, it was certainly my favorite of the trip.

Stayed for 4 nights. room size is expected of tokyo standard. Impeccable room. excellent sound proof even though our room was facing the main road, we slept well every night. would have been perfect if they provided extra pillows as there was only one for each bed. one minor imperfect experience was the temperature of the shower that was difficult to adjust to a comfortable and consistent level.
Like the quiet location but the happening streets and major train stations Ueno JR and keisei ueno are accessible on foot and lots to see along the way (lots of distraction so you won't feel the distance). A multi storey Uniqlo and GU, departmental stores, countless eateries, Ameyoko area etc all within walking distance.
Naka okachimachi metro station right outside the hotel. Few convenience stores around making our supper replenishment really easy. feels like a mini Shinjuku to me so you don't have to go far.
Hotel staff are super helpful and courteous, very efficient in their work. Explanation at check in was super clear.
Hotel buffer bfast was superb, nice spread of japanese and western. Food was replenished even until the last minute before closing. there is free sake, tea and limited servings of ramen every night for limited time window which was a nice touch. More importantly is the access to the dining hall for the view of the lit up skytree while we enjoyed our ramen and sake, and the soothing music. This was a nice perk despite for a short 1hour so we didn't have to cramp in the room while we wind down from a dayful of visiting.
I don't mind staying here again.

We booked 2 nights in a deluxe twin room with a sofa bed which was small, the worst “deluxe” room we had experienced during our 3 weeks travelling around Japan. There was no rack for suitcases and not enough floor space to open 2 x medium suitcases without tripping over one of them. This hotel however, was convenient to a subway line and all we wanted to do in the Ueno/Asakusa area. Surrounding restaurants & market stalls were very good. They have a lovely lounge/dining area on the 14th floor with city views and complimentary drinks but you can't access this area between 10am-5pm which is a shame as it is a relaxing space that would be appreciated as a break between visiting tourist sites during the day.

This hotel left a very good impression on me! From the moment I entered the lobby, I felt a comfortable and professional atmosphere. The staff was friendly and always willing to help, making me feel at home. The design of the room is modern and clean, making it feel like home. I especially appreciate the scenery outside the window. I wake up every morning and enjoy the beautiful scenery, which makes me feel very good.
The hotel's restaurant is definitely a highlight! Breakfast provides a variety of choices, whether it is Western or Asian cuisine, they all taste delicious. The dinner was even more exquisite, allowing me to experience the art of gourmet food. Additionally, they were very attentive to my food allergy needs and made me feel at ease while dining.
Finally, I would like to praise the hotel's facilities. Very complete. Whether it is business facilities or leisure facilities, I was very satisfied with my stay. All in all, I was very impressed with my stay and would recommend this hotel without hesitation!

The hotel is very well located, the rooms are not large, but at least ours had an additional sofa, allowing us to move around with some comfort. The reception staff did not speak English very well, which prevented us from asking for any advice. But come on, as a hotel, more than correct!

+1
Our room on the 13th floor was very comfortable and not noisy. Located on the Skytree side, nice view and not the noise of the main avenue. Great location to discover Tokyo. Perfect welcome. Continental breakfast very varied and of very good quality. Cooked meals on site. Soup and sake offered in the evening in the breakfast room with a great view of Skytree.
Machines for washing and drying laundry in the hotel.
I highly recommend it. Our personal experience was perfect.

We are staying a week in Tokyo and wanted a larger room with a kitchenette and washer and the Monday Apart premium Ueno hotel checked all the boxes. It’s a short walk from Ueno Station plus close proximity to Asakusa and Kappabashi. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel has a very convenient location in terms of transportation, shopping and eating. 7-11 just opposite the road.
Entrance/Exit 1 of The Naka-Okachimachi Station of Hibiya line is just outside the hotel. You can also easily catch a taxi by the main roadside.
Akihabara and Ueno stations are 1 stop away from the hotel. It's close enough to walk and see what's on the street
The room that we booked is quite small and has no bathtub. But it has it's own en-suite toilet and bath/shower. It's recommended to keep luggage under the bed if not in use. Microwave and Coin laundry is available at 2F.
All in all if you don't need luxury on your trip, this is definitely worth the price. They do have discounts when you book early so it's a plus as well.

You have to take transfers but Its simple to reach. Take the Narita express to Tokyo station. Then take Yamanote line and get down at Okachimachi station. Its 5 minutes walk from Okachimachi station. There is also local metro stop right outside the hotel but JR pass doe not work on this. If you take the JR pass then walk to Okachimachi is better and is reasonable as well. We were 5 people and did it that way.
