It's just near by the Asakusa tube station. The staff were very friendly and the whole hostel were clean and quiet. There are a cozy living room and a kitchen. Also your luggage can be lifted by elevator if your room is on the 2nd or 3rd floor.

I was here for 3 nights when I first got to Tokyo, and one more night a month later. This hostel is probably the friendliest place I've been to. Everyone is about socializing, and helping you out. The staff is always helpful, speak great English, and you can tell they love what they do. The location is great too, just...

We stayed here as a family with two teenage kids. The area is great and very central. We loved having the common room and kitchen. Everything was clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable. The only down side was that the family room we stayed in was very small for the four of...

I stayed at Khaosan Kabuki for two nights. The beds are clean and very comfortable, the common area is relatively small but homey, the fellow guests are friendly, and the location near the temple is convenient and pretty quiet. Most of all the staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. I have had an excellent experience at all three of the...

Our stay was lovely. The staff were very friendly and happy to help with any tedious tourist questions which must be a usual occurrence. The facilities were very clean and in a great part of Tokyo. Definitely recommend!!

Very friendly hostel, very clean and has a lovely cosy common area. We had a double ensuite so can't comment on the other facilities but the double room was tidy and clean. Friendly staff, they have a washer and drier but a large enough room where you can hang your washed clothes up. It's extremely close to the temple, but...

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
