The hotel is new, clean and spacious. We are a family of 4 and staying in a 5 people connecting room. I highly recommend the connecting room because there are 2 toilets which is very much needed for 4 people. The toilets are spacious and showers come with regular shower head and a rain shower. The water pressure and temperature is great.
They clean rooms every 3 days which I personally do not mind. You can have your towels changed everyday if you wish and you simply place the used towels in the basket outside your room before midday. Same for the rubbish the needs to be emptied.
The beds being tatami style are slightly harder than my liking but that us my personal preference.
Highly recommend.

During our visit to Tokyo to attend the 20th Anniversary Monster Hunter Exhibition, we stayed at the Tourist Hotel Akihabara.
The hotel is clean and looks new, also modern with fluent English staffs. It has many tourists from all over the world. The location of the hotel is near the convenience store Family Mart. Standard hotel facilities for travelers who like to travel with safe comfortable accommodation and minimalist hotel facilities.
Cons: - quite far from the station Akihabara with walking distance 10 minutes or 550 meters
- the staff is not active / not give info in offering free coffee so until the end of my stay I didn't get free coffee
- there is no small Japanese bath tub in the hotel room, only a shower
Pros: - the laundry staff gave me clean towels when I was a bit late taking out dirty towels and garbage out
- the concierge staff helped call a taxi. Taxi fare to Haneda airport ¥10,000
- you can leave your luggage after or before check in / out

This hotel is located in the heart of Akihabara, less than a 10-minute walk from JR Akihabara Station. It's in an excellent spot, tucked away in a lightly lit, safe, and convenient area. A Family Mart is less than 100 feet away, and a 7-11 is just a block away. The hotel is clean and simple, with excellent water pressure for the showers. The staff speaks English and is very helpful. They offer free hot and iced coffee 24 hours a day at the bar. Free toiletries are available in the main lobby. The rooms are small, typical of Japanese hotels, and feature comfortable mattresses and bedding on an elevated Japanese tatami floor. I highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel. Friendly and English-speaking staff, who guided us in checking in automatically. Very clean, basic but equipped with all amenities. Free water. Every 3 days cleaning was done but if outside the room you left dirty towels were changed (as well as garbage). In a quiet area and minutes from various metro stations. Walking distance to convenience stores. They also gave pajamas and in the lobby everything necessary for personal hygiene.

Out of 3 hotels in Japan, this was the family’s favorite. This hotel is centered perfectly. Close to Akihabara shopping, games, anime, cat cafe & train station. Although the room is small, it was able to accommodate 4 adults. Room had a bunk bed (fit 2 adults fine) and 2 beds. Had a separate toilet and shower in room. The breakfast was well worth it as it was cheap & good. I recommend purchasing it in advance. The staff spoke English and were excellent. Even though check in wasn’t until 3pm, they were able to hold our bags so we can explore a bit. I would definitely stay here again!

We love this hotel! The second time we have been lucky enough to stay here. The rooms are so comfortable and have everything you need. The breakfast is delicious and they adapted it for a vegan option as well. The location is fantastic it is so quiet in the area and lots of restaurants and combini near by and close to the station, we hope we get to stay here again soon!

POSITIVE
Situation in Akihabara
New hotel. Perfect facilities
Very good service both at reception and in the cafeteria.
We requested a top floor, it was our 50th anniversary and they granted it to us along with a welcome cake.
Very good quadruple room, everything excellently clean.
The only thing to improve from our point of view is the breakfast. There were two types
- Oriental
- Western
Being a single tray and not a buffet, and being there for 5 days it became very very repetitive and we ended up buying some pasta at the Family Mark. I would not hire breakfast again. Food is cheap in Tokyo.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. We reserved two connecting rooms so that our kids and my husband and I have our own space. It was also great to have two bathrooms. The room was small, but typical for a Japanese hotel. Glad that there was a refrigerator in the room. It was quite and the beds were comfortable. We would stay here again.

We loved this place! Clean and very welcoming. Check in was quick and the room was perfect. The beds were very comfortable, shower was great and location was in a very nice and quiet area. We stayed at another place on our return to Tokyo and wish we had booked this place again.

My recent stay at The Tourist Hotel was simply exceptional. From the warm welcome at check-in to the just right accommodations, every aspect of my experience surpassed expectations. The staff's professionalism and friendliness were outstanding, and the room was spacious (for Japan), elegantly furnished, and clean. The breakfast was a delicious and the hotel's amenities were perfect. I highly recommend The Tourist Hotel for a great stay after a day's activities. Five stars, no question!
