Short walk to the Gate , Temple and Asakusa station, 20 minutes to Skytree.
We had 9th floor corner room with views of all 3 attractions.
Room perfectly equipped , nice wet room and bath .
Coffee machine, safe, fridge, everything you could want.
American Breakfast very high quality but only 3 set choices .
Evening restaurant again nice although a bit pricey.
Lots of small Japanese restaurants in locality, English spoken to to varying degrees . Always helpful.
We arrived very early but as is the Japanese way no chance of early check in, very politely refused.
Next door to a , very Japanese, supermarket.Snacks and beer available but no recognisable take out meals.
Rooftop bar a great place to relax with an evening drink and great views.
A very classy hotel in a ,I suppose ,what asses for a peaceful area of Tokyo ( itâs all relative ) a good base from which to explore if perhaps a bit far from main station hubs , although your pasmo card will get you everywhere.
Some staff were exceptional. Every member of staff in the restaurant for breakfast was lovely. We had some amazing food, fresh orange juice, French toast and some amazing speciality dishes too. The lady looking after our table made sure we had everything we could wish for, and the chef was also brilliant.
The reception staff were impressive. Professional, spoke so many languages (and their English was amazing) and unlike many hotels, these staff really listened to the customer and made sure they were providing what the customer needed. Exceptionally good service in my opinion - I would recommend staying here for anyone visiting Tokyo for the first time.
We could see the Gate from our windows and all the street life with locals and tourists alike enjoying the multitude of shops and restaurants. We felt we were in the centre of Tokyo but could easily walk almost everywhere & the "GO" taxis were abundant when it was too far to walk.
Lunch in the hotel restaurant was so delicious we decided to celebrate a birthday "at home" in our hotel. For a change from hotel breakfasts we all enjoyed the Denny's a block or so away.
If you are lucky enough to stay here, make time for a nightcap on the roof terrace (excellent bar) to enjoy watching the Tokyo SkyTree Tower change colours.
Rooms were good and secure.
Breakfast was good and they had stopped the buffet due to the Covid 19 virus and served the food separately, French toast and eggs benedict were both good.
Staff could not have been more helpful and professional.
The room itself was a decent size and larger than we expected, though still on the smaller side with two large suitcases. The rooms were bright with lots of amenitites.
We liked the added security measure of room keys being needed to select guest floors in the elevator. There's also lots of convenience stores nearby, so we never needed to eat in the restaurant. A short walk to the right of the hotel is a train station that will take you all over Tokyo, making it super easy to travel around. If I ever make it back to Japan, I would definitely stay here again.
"The rooftop bar alone is worth staying here. I was shocked to have a view of the sky tree from my room. Such a nice surprise. "Read full review
