Agora Place Asakusa is a well located hotel if you're travelling around Tokyo. Located right on the Ginza line it's really easy to make your way around the place. The rooms are really small, but you're not staying in Tokyo to live in the room are you? They're large enough to fit you and all your belongings and to serve...

Loved my time here. The staff were absolutely top notch. Had a medical emergency, they found a nearby hospital with an english speaking doctor and got me a cab on a public holiday. Rooms were smaller than i expected but were immaculate. Could not be happier. Highly recommended.

Overall: Good. Rooms: Tiny but a comfortable bed. Food: Breakfast buffet was pretty limited. Wifi: Good. We stayed for 5 nights and the room was impeccable whenever we come back. We booked through a third party site and toiletries + breakfast are included in the package. Go for that.

The limited services hotel was extremely small but space was well utilised. Pretty safe clean option. Close to Subway. The front desk staff was immensely friendly and helpful. Great view of the Tokyo Skytree from the street.

I booked this property very last minute during Sakura season and I was pleasantly surprised! This hotel has became a favourite for business trips and the staff are generally quite helpful. Easy access to the Ginza Line on Tokyo Metro and also the main area of Asakusa which you can find a few restaurants and cafes.

I stayed for one night for a lay over with my husband. Very easy to find from Asakusa station (10min walk) and was very close to the Temple place. Employees spoke fluent English and had a Chinese employee too. They had merchandise at the front desk that you can purchase in case you forgot/ neeeded more of such as shampoo,...

The Agora Place is a cozy hotel, located in a quite and calm area (as far as that's possible in Tokyo). The rooms here are small, but what do you expect when visiting a city like Tokyo? In the room all the facilities are there and despite the smallness I never felt boxed in. The staff is friendly and will...

A small room, but nice and clean. The beds were large and comfortable. Helpful staff and close to the subway. Liked the area, quite calm and relaxed. Breakfast is not served at the hotell, but it is easy to find cafes and whatnot in the area.

We stayed for 7 nights and it was very nice. I like the concept of being able to rent all sorts of goodies like massagers, i pads and coffee machines for a fair charge. The hotel is very clean, the room ladies clean every day and the reception staff is class. In addition to that, the location could not be...

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
