The hotel is a typical Japanese hotel. The room is very small with limited space to move around. I felt frustrated when I stay there first time as I am use to Sheraton or Marriott luxury. As the hotel is next to my company and I have to stay there again and again for convenience. Eventually I am use to...

Since Shinagawa has either very expensive or very low end hotels, this hotel in Osaki proved to be perfect. It was a nice walk from Osaki to the Tokyo Marriott through bylanes and a park. The hotel roombwas like any regular biz hotel, neat clean and functional. Quiet since it's not very close to the train station either. Few decent...

This hotel is situated a 4 minute walk along elevated walkways to Osaki JR station on the Yamanote Line (follow the signs). The location provides easy (if crowded access) to all part of Tokyo. As it is on the Yamanote Line, tickets can be purchased direct to Osaki from either Narita or Haneda airports. The Narita airport express runs every...

The location is great, direct access towards osaki station south exit, only about 3-50 min of walk, and osaki is a very convenient station to commute, since there's quite a few rail and metro lines here. Room condition is very clean and tidy, definitely reach every expectation for a cozy biz hotel. The access way is the little flaw, cuz...

A clean, well equipped, comfortable business hotel. Nothing grand but I like it. Still, if you have heavy luggage, then one have to bear this in mind, as one needs to walk around 5mins or so to the train station.

It's an easy walk from the train station, but the rooms are tiny , and the breakfast is barely enough. The smoking room is so bad that it literally made me quit smoking. The staff are friendly, and there are some great restaurants nearby.

The room was comfortable, well maintained and clean. The staff was courteous. I felt safe. Many restaurants are within easy walking distance. Restaurants varied from fast food to formal. The train system has a station within a five minute walk from the hotel. On the down side, the TV lacked any English language stations. I have come to expect CNN...

This is a Japanese "business hotel" as my colleagues in Japan called it. That pretty much means a basic hotel that Japanese business people would stay in as it's convenient to offices, but is pretty basic-- compared to the hotels that foreign businesspeople might stay in- Park Hyatt, Westin, etc. I got booked into this hotel only because the typical hotels...

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
