This is a small establishment, and extremely well-run. The staff was so helpful, the food was delicious, the decor charming, the bathrooms and beds very comfortable, the landscaping and grounds were exquisite. When it became apparent we would miss the normal dinner service, we called ahead to tell them we would be late arriving...they gave us the whole menu over...

We stayed only one night at La Cardinale while enroute to elsewhere but what a welcome respite it was for that one night. It is a gem of a place in the Ardeche set on 65 acres of beautiful property. We were welcomed warmly by Madame as we got out of the car and she immediately saw to our needs....

We stayed at this marvellous place for 7 days and especially enjoyed the phantastic food that is served for dinner (no lunch served, reservation for dinner obligatory!). The wine list offered everything the region is proud of - and all this for reasonable prices considering the top quality! Another highlight is the breakfast, sweet only, but delicious every day with...

We stumbeled on this place by coincidence, and got really supprised by this amazing "hidden treasure" in the woods outside Le Pouzin. First of all: the food is amazing. We had different kinds of fish dishes both days of our stay. Made to perfection and absolutely lovely. The starters were great too. And do not skip dessert at this place...;)...

This hotel is really a gem. The main buildiing is part of hostorical patrimone of Ardeche, the gardens manicured, the rooms comfortable, spacious with lovely bathroom. We had delicious dinner with local wine and amazing breakfast the followng morning. There is a huge swimming pool for summer guests. Prices are reasonable, I stayed in a triple room, with my husband...

Unusual rural guest house with well-equipped rooms and acres of space. But the biggest surprise is the outstanding food - both at breakfast and dinner. The owner is English and once owned a restaurant with his beautiful French wife in Cheltenham, UK. They certainly work hard to maintain this spacious property .

It was unfortunately too cold to go to the pool, but the setting is amazing there too... but the biggest surprise was the food. I have been...

This is a small hotel where you really can recharge your batteries. The hotel is small and run by a very friendly and accommodating family, the food is 2 star michelin quality and is the highlight of the day. There is 65 acres of well tended gardens with hundreds of trees. The rooms are all different and and beautifully maintained...

We stayed for a few days with the family in the family room of Hotel restaurant La Cardinale. Not only was the food super, the breakfast unbelievable good, the bed we were sleeping in was excellent. If you happen to be in the neighborhood don't hesitate to pass by. It is a small hotel-restaurant, a huge pool and excellent service....
