We loved out stay in LaBala: Bali and Tito were an amazing team of guide and spotter. The friendly and welcoming staff was such a pleasure to interact with and the last dinner where the staff sang and danced was joyful and truly a delight. The experience was perfect and I can't recommend any improvements.

We stayed at 3 safari camps / lodges in Botswana and this was the best! Our guide Bait was the best guide we had on this trip. We had a few exciting game drives tracking down lions, following wild dogs on their hunt, which are testimony to his guiding skills. But what sets Bait apart is that he is so...

Kwando Lebala is a really nice camp offering beautiful views over the surrounding landscape, even when suffering from a drought. We stayed there in 02/2016 and really enjoyed the exciting gamedrives and the company of our excellent guide, Bait. The food served was delicious, inspired by the local cuisine and always served at a communal table. The great rooms were...

We traveled to four Kwando camps in December, 2015. They were Tau Pan, Kwara, Lagoon, and Labala. All camps had excellent lodging and meals. The guides in each camp were very knowledgeable and patient answering our questions. Since it is summer in the southern hemisphere we experienced 44 degree Celsius heat in Tau Pan (Kalahari desert). The temperatures in the...

Kp and the interior crew were so amazing and welcoming, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our guide Jacob and tracker Rogers were the best, always getting us to prime viewing spots and were so knowledgable, accommodating and friendly. Even Diesel and BK picked us up at the airstrip and immediately made us feel welcome. From start to finish we...

I went on safari through Botswana with my aunt, and we enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Lebala. The staff was genuine, accommodating, and kind. The food was great, with a "Botswana" night every Monday featuring local fare. The rooms were high end, dreamy, and comfortable, but not overboard like other camps. Our guide/tracker were BK and TT... and...

We enjoyed this camp which provided good game viewing. We saw lions, wild dogs, leopard, a lot of elephants, giraffe angled hippos. Their structure of guide and tracker is one few use but I believe significantly helps with achieving good viewing especially at night. Our guide Jacko was very knowledgable and keen to share this with you. The camp itself...

I had read and heard so much about this camp. I was extremely disappointed. The staff were polite but did not go out of their way. We arrived around lunch time and were finally asked if we wanted something to eat, which we declined.the other camps had tables set and lunch on hand. We complained about our lights not working...

We stayed four nights here at the end of a safari in Namibia. We were not disappointed! Our welcome was friendly and efficient. Throughout our stay all staff were delightful and only too willing to make our stay happy and enjoyable. Loads of game...Two nights woke up to hear elephant pulling and eating leaves so close I could here him/her...

.At first arrival at Lebala I was immediately questioned by management as to why my whole Botswana trip was not with Kwando safaris. Having seen the standards at Lebala compared to 3 other camps, I am very grateful I did not stick with Kwando. The service here is just poor, especially when compared to the other camps. The staff do...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
'Intimate' and 'personal' are core Kwando Safaris values. The vast wilderness areas in which our camps are located are known for their remoteness and high quality wilderness experience. With the intoxicating sunsets, tranquillity and endless horizons, most people are reluctant to leave! In order for a camp to be included in the Kwando Safaris circuit, it must have the following characteristics: • Intimate and personal - no more than 18 guests per camp • Allow the sounds of nature to dominate • Be managed by experienced and talented citizens of Botswana with motivated and caring staff • Embody the unique Kwando 'Guide and Tracker experience' • Be staffed with guides with the experience and personalities to ensure that no activity is dull! • Limit each game drive vehicle to a maximum of six guests • Have structures that are semi permanent ensuring minimal impact on the environment • Demonstrate environmental best practices in daily operations including the use of renewable energy sources ... more   less
