Tomasz made us very welcome on arrival, with safe overnight bike storage, a great evening menu (and customisation of that as required). Lovely evening in the bar (with good beer), a great nights sleep and then breakfast and back on the road!

What can I stay we stayed here for the weekend as we had a wedding near by. What can I say about the place and the host. Well to start off i could not have asked for a better welcome than we got here and we where well looked after nothing was to much trouble for them. The hotel rooms are fine but what gives this place the wow factor is the service you get when you stay here. I have stayed in better hotels than this but never had a more pleasant stay than here. If you are looking to stay near here than I would say check this place out.

Tomas was a fantastic host. Meals were delicious with a wide range availble and the menu had some flexibility which really suited. Had to be up very early in the morning for an event and we were still offered breakfast. Rooms were comfortable, clean and warm, with plenty of free parking. Will definitely stay here again.

Ate twice in two nights in the hotel. Every one very friendly. Food excellent and service very good. Very homely atmosphere. Very well located in the middle of Newcastleton. Very good with family and made any resonable adjustments to meals.

From stepping through the door we could not have wished for better. We were given a very warm welcome by Tomasz and Co. In these days when food establishments are operating with much reduced menu's it was good to see what is still possible. We were treated to a first class freshly prepared meal which was excellent and also good value. Hopefully when this pandemic is behind us Tomasz and establishments like his are still around to welcome us. They need our support more than ever.

Booked for lunch at Liddesdale and couldn’t have been more pleased. Despite the awful weather we received a very warm welcome. Excellent food and service. We opted for soup and a sandwich. Soup was freshly made and delicious. Great selection of sandwiches served with slices of apple. Would recommend a visit.

Called in whilst passing through. Wanted lunch but most places finish serving around 2.00 pm. However, even at 2.10 pm we were welcomed and shown a very nice (limited) lunch menu. After a welcome drink we were served with a well cooked and presented, very nice lunch, at a very reasonable price. £44.00 with drinks for four people, and REAL chips !! Very nice indeed. Newcastleton is always worth a visit, a jewel in the Borders !

Tom and his team are excellent. This is such a lovely friendly hotel with amazing food. Rooms are very comfortable and warm. Ask for a front room if you want a great view of the village square. Parking very easy.
