Had a fantastic stay in the family suite at the Schwan hotel in Horgen. It was large enough to accommodate us and our 3 children and even had a single room which was ideal for our older daughter. The staff are brilliant, absolutely everyone from the front desk to the kitchen to the cleaners was polite and welcoming. The restaurant was a very nice surprise in this hotel. The food is delicious and we didn’t feel like it was a compromise to eat dinner or lunch at the hotel. The chefs certainly take pride in their work at the Schwan. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families looking for a place to stay along the silver coast on Lake Zurich. It felt more like a home than a hotel - thank you for a wonderful stay.

A perfect stay in a really good hotel. Lovely comfortable bed and linen, immaculate room. Decent hairdryer. Very friendly staff. Breakfast well presented and freshly baked pastry. Really easy walk from both bus/rail station. We can both really recommend.

Great deal of an more than century old building feeling. We loved it. Breakfast very well prepared buffet, some of it in nice glass covered drawers. :-) And you get you breakfast tee freshly made and served. Just need to know the bathroom can be challenging for really tall people. Parking space around the corner, you just need to know how to find it. We would book again any time we need to get there.

Great food; exquisite service but most of all the service from Ricardo was impeccable. The 😡 was the internet. Nevertheless a great experience and a super team which you shouldn’t miss; especially the front desk provides you with a super service.

Family comfort with great food and atmosphere. This hotel was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. All staff were accommodating to your every need. The only issue is they don't have an elevator. When travelling to Europe with a lot of luggage the staff are more than willing to help get your suitcase to your room through the staff elevator. The hotel is situated in a small town approximately 20 Km's from Zurich. The restaurants around are comfortable and the shopping is not like Zurich however the quality of the local businesses is good.

Booked this hotel/tavern for a one night stay in August. Fabulous oldy, worldy hotel with so much character and chocolate box appeal. Beautiful location just opposite the church in the old cobbled quarter, a quick walk from station and lake. Such a friendly welcome, and a lovely room, wish I could have stayed longer. Thoroughly recommend if you are in Horgen.

Very nice hotel, with its location in a little square with small shops and a fountain. Breakfast buffet was good, and the service from the staff very friendly. Just a short walk from the lake, and the train station (Horgen) makes it very convenient.

This was a great hotel with superb staff in a small town. Parking is available near by with a Co-op grocery store which is always handy for buying grocery items. The restaurant is worth at least one visit and there are several restaurants nearby. We would definately visit again. Get a room on the lower floors during the hot summers. Fans in each room.

Hotel Schwan was GREAT! The folks were so very helpful. Breakfast buffet was included and included such a great variety of cheeses, meats, salmon, and fresh bread and rolls. Highly recommend this hotel!

I've got what I really expect from such small, familly owned hotels in Switzerland. Old, charming building (one or the oldest in Horgen), nice interiors, very friendly staff, especially when I needed to borrow umbrella, good breakfast. All in room in tideness, clean and in good condition. A lot of leaflets and books to look and read/ Hotel close to everything, in middle of the town, so nothing to add. Thanks for good stay!
