We stayed for one night en route to Santander together with our dog. The hotel is quite central to the village, an easy strolling distance but is quite difficult to find by car due to an incomprehensible one way system. The entrance to the grounds is via a narrow stone archway, quite tight but possible in a 4x4 vehicle. Parking... More

We stayed at Zubieta for 2 nights and it was such a pleasurable stay. The rooms are spacious and it feels more like a country inn than anything else. The breakfast was simple but good - with a nice assortment of bread, cheese and fruits. The front desk was very helpful and spoke English. I would definitely stay there again.

Beautifully decorated rooms, loved the Persian carpets down the hallways. Bar area for drinks and cold and hot plates at night was fantastic. We spend two nights here after a week in San Sebastian. It was a wonderful way to end our time in the Basque country. The hotel is full of character the small staffing team are charming.

This hotel is excellent. The rooms are lovely and spaces. The breakfast is very very good and the dinner is lovely. Defiantly be back here again. The staff are lovely two and the village is right beside this hotel.

Looking for a quiet place on the way between San Sebastián and Bilbao? This is it. A rural retreat with views over hills, pastures with blond Aquitaine cattle, a variety of native birds and cicadas in the evening . Yes the approach may be daunting with hairpin bends, overhanging cliffs and local drivers..not to mention the final turn through the... More

This is a gem of a hotel, just on the edge of Leketio. The ambiance is elegant rural, yet it adjoins the town and the harbour is about a 10 walk. The bar area and oudside cafe type seating was inviting and relaxing. The Staff was supurb. The room was spotless, large and well furnished. We had to leave at... More

Our last night of our road trip. This is a lovely find, as others say great place to chill in lounge/bar or on the terrace. Clean, comfy rooms and safe car parking - important as we were sailing from Bilbao the next day. It's 10 mins into town with it's fishing harbour, quay and beaches. We were there on the... More

We spent three nights here at the end of our summer holiday. It's simply yet elegantly furnished. The breakfasts were excellent value at 10 euros a head. We'd get up late, have a lovely leisurely breakfast and not have to eat again until the evening. The bar area was great, a very relaxing place to hang out away from the... More

Charming hotel in an old building. Located on the outskirts of the town in relaxing grounds, but easy walking distance to center and beaches. Room lacked air-con which may be an issue, but was not a problem for us with following day time temperatures in the mid 20s. Staff very polite and helpful

We stayed two nights at this charming hotel, and enjoyed it very much. Lovely old building furnished with attention to detail, with a nice hotel bar and a lovely courtyard attached where you can enjoy a quiet drink or a meal. Our room was nice and airy, the bathroom large and everything very clean and well maintained. The staff were... More
