Firstly, we would like to acknowledge the help Claudia provided in organising storage for our bicycles and luggage taxi transfer.

Of all the hotels and B&Bs we stayed in during out Puglia cycling trip this was our favourite. We booked a double room with sea view and were given a room on the top floor with a great sea view right out onto the boardwalk. The room was light, airy and spacious with a large bathroom and great shower. The bed was very comfortable. The rooms appear to have been recently modernised and we liked the décor. The balcony was a perfect place to sit to get the afternoon sun.

The hotel has parking across the road at the rear and a bar and restaurant. The restaurant was the only part of the stay which was a let-down. We ate dinner there which was really quite poor quality. The seafood tasted frozen which is strange for a port fishing town restaurant. The food was also very basic and a lot of the dishes were deep fried. The bread we were served was stale. The ambiance was a bit of a let-down as the restaurant lighting was far too bright.

The breakfast was also very poor, especially given the standard of the hotel. The juices were from a carton and the offerings were primarily a small selection of cereals, cakes and pastries.

We would highly recommend the hotel, just not the food and beverage offerings.

We loved staying at Hotel Falls. The value is excellent, its clean and the service is top notch. Especially at the front desk, Claudia helped us pick a lido that was superb and really made a difference in our 3 day stay. We would go back there in a minute.. Cute town right there a block away with many restaurants to choose from. Better Lidos are near Torre Lapillo beach.

We just got back home from our travel to this part of Italy. We were staying at the hotel Falli which has perfect location. Our room was overlloking the sea. The rooms are not very big, but still big enough with nice traditional furnishing and very clean. The stuff and the owners very friendly and helpfull. They have a very nice restaurant with excellent selection of great wines. Best place to stay over in Porto Cesareo.

Any of my previous trips to Italy have been like many I'm sure visiting this country to the usual spots Venice, Sorrento and Rome etc. This time I travelled south via Bari to the Puglia region staying in Porto Cesareo at The Hotel Falli. While the outskirts of this port are a little neglected once you get to the port itself you find a bustling town with some fantastic seafood restaurants and also The Hotel Falli. The Hotel sits on the seafront with wonderful views of a boat marina and onwards onto a small island which is accesable by water taxi. Our seaview room was spotless with plenty of towels and products. Breakfast is continental style but it has a great selection of breads, pastries, cakes, fruits, cheeses and meats all served freidndly helpful staff. The hotel also boasts an excellent restaurant serving local seafood.Porto Cesareo is on the Ionian sea and we found some fantastic beaches in the area having being directed by the hotel manager. I cannot wait to return to this part of Italy and I will definitely be returning to The Hotel Falli.

Came to Porto Cesareo for our son's wedding. The bride is a beautiful girl from Copertino. My sister in laws stayed in Hotel Falli, my own sister who leaves in Zurich and her family stayed there too. We join them every morning for breakfast (we stayed at the in laws holiday house) and what a beautiful experience it is indeed for us, we were all treated like family. Simone and Matteo are very helpful. They made sending faxes to Australia possible so my mother in law has a daily update of what we are doing. The hotel is very clean, beautiful luxurious rooms. The restaurant serves mouth watering menus. The whole family are so impressed. Porto Cesario can be reached by train from Rome to Lecce. It is a 6 hrs. leisurely ride passing some of the great sceneries of the south. Or you can take the plane from Rome to Brindisi and take taxi or bus to Porto Cesareo. Hotel Falli is Highly recommended. We will be back!

We planned to stop at Hotel Falli for a quick coffee, but such was the charm and hospitality of its staff that we didn't leave for four days.

Hotel Falli is a family-run hotel. Perfectly positioned, overlooking the marina, it is comfortable, clean, great value and utterly unpretentious - in the best possible way. The sea-view rooms come with lovely balconies where we enjoyed our evenings looking at the sea and drinking local wine ordered from the restaurant downstairs. Simone, the Manager, and his brother Matteo - indeed, all of the staff - went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, from sourcing local honey to helping us with reservations. The difference between this hotel and many others surrounding it is that the staff at Hotel Falli are true professionals, and care deeply about what they do. This is not temporary seasonal work for them.

The hotel restaurant Cosimino (you do not have to be a hotel resident to dine there) is a true gem. If you want the freshest, best-prepared fish in Porto Cesareo, this is the place for you. The fish is caught and delivered daily - exceptionally fresh every night - and you can choose exactly which fish you want from the seafood trolley. Watching the waiter fillet the fish at your table is an exhibition of care. It's not just fish however. I was lucky enough to try the fettucine with porcini mushrooms -- an absolute triumph. This restaurant is worth a detour. A long one. If the weather is sunny, you may be lucky to get one of the outdoor tables, right by the harbour.

One final bonus is how close this hotel is - a few minutes' drive - to some of the world's most beautiful beaches.

Enjoy!

As a family of 5 (parents, 2 children and an au-pair girl), we have been to the Hotel Falli in Porto Cesareo for a week.
Everything was as we expected and even better.
The amazing view on the small harbor and the island in front of the town was coupled with tidy and clean rooms, perfectly done every day.
Breakfast was more than ok both in terms of quantity, variety of choice and quality (with maybe a small improvement opportunity on the croissanterie but more than compensated from the availability of some local sweets, like the famous pasticciotto leccese). Small remarkable things: eggs served on demand (without any additional cost) in the way you prefer, the waiter that every morning comes with the preferred warm drink for you and the children and the possibility to have a real fresh orange juice (Simone, please don't remove the machine!).
Of course we are not talking about a big luxury resort and you can't expect the same service level. But you will get in change the support and precious advises of the warm and professional Falli family.
Thank you Claudia and Simone for making our stay such a nice experience.

Saluti
