Tenuta Quintino is an old farmhouse, skilfully and lovingly restored respecting the ancient forms with the use of ancient techniques and materials, and has been used as a holiday farm since 2003. It is located between Torre Lapillo and Punta Prosciutto, where there is a greater concentration of beaches with fine sand and crystal clear sea, and numerous bathing establishments that make this area one of the most beautiful in Salento. The hotel offers free parking and wifi connection, and an excellent restaurant where you can enjoy fine local dishes. The rooms, while remaining faithful to the old farmhouse, are elegantly furnished and equipped with all comforts, and have air conditioning and private bathroom. The estate, with its gardens and swimming pool is now a cheerful location for refined weddings in Salento and beyond, also suitable for those who want to spend a short or long holiday. Not a hotel, more an event space. Felt like it should be €80/night not €150. Clean enough rooms, but none of the spa bath or lighting functions worked which was disappointing. Pool is also an ornament not for use 😂 no restaurant despite the photos! Think this is best as an event space or conference venue

Response from ANTONIO ITALO PISANO', Proprietario at Masseria Tenuta Quintino
Responded 6 Oct 2022
Dear guest, we find your assessment very strange in these respects: 1) you booked a superior double room and were upgraded to the Giglio Suite with jacuzzi and hammam. 2) The malfunctions you mentioned, why were they not reported to us at reception? We have checked and there is no malfunction. 3) on no site is there an indication of active restaurant service, I don't know why you mention restaurant service. The same goes for the swimming pool service, it is not indicated as an active and functioning service for guests. I am sorry for your experience, but the negative aspects you mention were not our fault. We hope to have you back in the future with the hope of being able to meet your needs.

I’m way late with this review, but this Masseria made our stay in Punta Proscuitto . While it’s not on he beach, it’s well worth the short drive. The breakfast, with some local ingredients, suited everyone’s tastes, including our 2.5 year old (at the time), and even had fresh fruit options for our 10 month old. We had one snafu at checkout regarding a charge for our baby, but the staff were very quick to rectify it. I’m actually scared to tell people to go to this area of Italy and to this area of Puglia, as it is so beautiful, and unspoilt by heavy tourism. The beach is like none other that I’ve seen, and is perfect for small children. This was by far such an incredible trip for our family. We look forward to returning to Salento and Punta Proscuitto.

It's well known that Italian hotels aren't to the same standard as others in Europe - at least for the same price. They all have a feel of a bygone era about them - which can be quite charming, if you like old furniture, linen from a bygone era and some modern luxuries bolted on to tick a box. First things first, the staff here were attentive and very friendly (be warned, no English spoken at the hotel, not a problem for us (Italian speakers) but may be off putting to some. Most of the guests here were fellow Italians, rather than international. The location is excellent - less than 1km or so to some great beaches in Torre Lapillo. Breakfast (free) is basic but does the job - fruit, italian breakfast cakes etc. Where we were disappointed was the room. It was basic, outdated linen, old furniture (not in a charming way) and shower was just - strange. Wifi was barely functional, which was a nuisance. We couldn't find help on a number of times, seems the staff numbers are kept lean (which is fine and understandable, but not much help when you have a question). I'd recommend this hotel if you're happy with 3* lodgings, are comfortable with speaking Italian and don't intend on using it far beyond a place to sleep.

Enjoyed an outstanding vacation at this resort. We felt like we had gone back to the 16th century but had modern conveniences such as tv, air conditioning and wi fi. The food was excellent and the service was professional and friendly. It was also convenient to many beautiful towns and beaches! Thank you to the owners , Rosalea and Antonio. My family and I hope to return again!!
