Mr. Payne visited this hotel and was disappointed. Great reviews throughout the internet, so was I unlucky? Here's my review: The room was sold me in use when I entered the balcony, there was only a tiny tiny small glimpse of blue water to be seen on far left while standing on the balcony, so that was a first thing where the hotel was betraying me. Secondly, even though room was sold with an A/C, it didn't work. It was explained to me that because of covid19 they have turned of the A/C. Because the air conditioner didn't work, the air in my room was stail, too hot, and didn't have enough oxygen. I was trying to help the unpleasant situation by opening the balcony door, which only led to a next problem: the water pumps of the hotel are really loud and they are going on through the whole night, so sleeping with the balcony door open was impossible. Mr Payne's mattress chec Mattress in my room was WAY too hard. I can't recommend an overnight stay in Le Dune for anyone who wants to sleep.

Hotel itself is quite small with nice rooftop pool and bar. We had a half-board package and the dinner was excellent. There are plenty of choice of meal different every day. Staff at front desk and restaurant are really helpful. Beach club is really great plenty choice of food and drinks and very affordable price. The best view and 💦. Room was very clean and functional. Only - was a view from the room. The rest was perfect. Highly recommended and will return for sure.

We wanted to stay at a nice hotel that is located directly on the beach during our vacation in Puglia in july and were so happy when we found this one. We walked in and they told us that a double room costs 350€ per night including a 4 course dinner and breakfast. At first we were sceptical because it is really high for a 4 star hotel but then we just did it and were so excited. First of all: The rooms are nice. Not spectacular but nice and clean. There is a pool on the rooftop and it is located on a very very nice beach at Porto Cesareo. The breakfast was the best one we had on our trip. There is everything you can imagine. What we didn't like was the dinner. The service was not attentive, we had to eat inside although they have a very nice terrace and the quality of the food was just bad. Then it said that there would be a desert buffet by the pool which was just fruit and one cheesecake. But they had awesome live music We complained about the dinner and they took 50€ off our bill and gave us the wine for free. Another thing we found strange was that you have to pay for the daybeds on the beach that belongs to the hotel. I find it just strange that you have to pay 25€ a day to rent daybeds offered by your hotel. Also they place you in order of the room category you booked so of course ours were in the last row although 70 percent of the other daybeds were empty. We also complained about that and they gave us the daybeds for free the next day. Overall it is a nice hotel but way to expensive for the service and the quality they offer. For half the price I would have been very very happy there but not for 350€.

This place is by far the best hotel in the Porto Cesareo area. The pool is super nice. The aperitivo lounge area really great. You could hang out there the whole day and drink great Rosè from Puglia. The hotel offers a program every night. Live singers/bands. Seafood dinner by the pool. Really nice and romantic. There is a kids club. However we were surprised to find out that it only opens at 17.00 and is closed on mondays. So is the pool bar, which we found weird. I guess a Southern Italian habbit. The food is delicious. Be aware that there is no real private beach. The beach beds are not complementary. And it’s pretty crowded. We were tempted to stay by the pool the whole day. The sea water quality is amazing though. It is crystal clear and turquoise. Like in the Maledives. Don’t expect a lot from the town though. Not very charming and worn down. I went for some runs and was very disappointed about the scenary. You will prefer staying at the hotel.

Le Dune Suite is located on an uninspiring street that follows the curve of the sandy beaches of Porto Cesareo. There are a few other such hotels on that street, together with houses and flats on rent. But if it is the beach that you are after, it is probably the best place in Porto Cesareo. "Le Dune" are in fact a small resort (47 rooms altogether) that makes an effort to entertain guests ("animazione" like music, themed buffets, children's activities, excursions on demand etc). In the high season, half board is mandatory and it is just as well as Porto Cesareo's centre is about 30 minutes walk away (and the food menu could be a bit more elaborated, especially for vegetarians). The "milk cow" of the resort is probably its private beach, out which a segment is reserved to hotel guests (but sun beds and umbrella come at a price - quite steep in the high season) while it has a tavola calda (a buffet where one can get comfort food and some healthier options too) and bar. There is also a gourmet restaurant, Acqua, specialised in sea food. In "Le Dune", rooms are functional but none have views on the sea! The bar is conceived like a sun deck but the view is obstructed by the sack on the private beach. The staff at the reception, bar and restaurants are trying their best to help guests. The resort seems to cater mostly for Italian patrons but information is available in English. Internet is free but can be slow or capricious. On the surroundings of the hotel, one could say that more could have been done to preserve the environment and "Le Dune" are practically invisible, except for a mini hill that borders the end of the hotel's private beach. Hawkers come and go the day long, selling anythings from "coco fresco" (pieces of cocunuts) to beach wear and sunglasses ...

Although we have been there in the off-season the hotel offered a good service. The breakfast was for an italian hotel very good. The restaurants were good. the room was modern and good. Especially Emanuela at the frontdesk was very service oriented and always friendly, even after 12 hours of work. That made us feel very comfortable.

... on out of town dusty road. This resort sits on the lovely beach at Porto Cesareo (at least I assume it's lovely, as you can't see the sand for all the bodies). Sea is clear and shallow, ideal for kids. The room here was really good; spacious and modern; the pool bar and the pool area were also very nice (the pool bar is a great area for after dinner drinks). One night dinner was served around the pool which was nice, but the hotel didn't seem to have a "no smoking around food" policy which is less nice when seated next to a chain smoking couple. Wine the first night was complimentary and served fairly freely; the second night dinner was served inside and we had to catch the attention of the sommelier who seemed to have 2 jobs: looking important and upselling wine ("tropo caro" came In handy, we compromised at €25). The food here was mixed: some was okay, some was awful; the cold and curdled beef main was especially poor; also don't expect to linger, you will be in and out of dinner in under an hour. So to conclude: nice room; okay staff; nice pool bar; crowded beach and poor to middling food; and all for around €300 per couple per night. Not my idea of a good deal.

4 night stay in early June. Hotel is nice, but not luxurious. Access to the private beach makes it a very convenient stay, try to reserve an umbrella well in advance. Restaurant is good, and roof top bar is good for a late night drink. The beach itself is amazing, clean clear water can rival many Caribbean destinations. The town is fun as well, good restaurants at very reasonable prices
