I've been to Kesgrave Hall for evening dinner twice recently. I'm more than familiar with the Milsoms chain and I've stayed and dined at Milsoms Colchester, which is why I decided to visit Kesgrave Hall when I was in the area. The building is extremely grand, a former Manor House with large grounds. The layout of the bar area is...

Lovely lunch, I ordered the humus and onion wrap, was lovely and a decent sized portion. My friends toast on her lunch was slightly burnt, however she said it was still nice. Quick and professional, friendly service and not bad value for money. I would visit again at lunchtime!

I have visited Kesgrave Hall multiple times and have always been blown away by the food and the service. Always helpful and smiley and happy to help. This time could have been more different. Waiting 20 minutes for a glass of Coca Cola and being ignored when wanting to pay the bill. Can't even say it is was busy, it...

Delighted with our find....The hotel is beautiful - set in lush grounds. We were welcomed at Reception by Andrew who quite frankly could not have been more charming or helpful. The room was gorgeous - large and decorated to a high standard with tasteful furniture - huge gorgeous sofas, flat screen TV ,massive bed with lovely linen and a large...

From the moment we arrived we were impressed. Lovely staff, who were extremely helpful and welcoming. We got a bargain of a room, £100 for a luxury king suite. Absolutely perfect. Fridge full of free soft drinks, tea, coffee facilities and real milk! Well nearly...long life but a hundred times better than little pots of milk. And a bathroom fit...

We had one of the best rooms in the hotel which was spacious, trendy and rather luxurious. The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly and the food is really quite lovely. Cooked breakfast is served to your table from a menu and is cooked fresh in the open kitchen, all served with endless tea/coffee/juices/cereals/fruits etc. you definitely won't...

Great building set in beautiful location but I am always somewhat disappointed with the food and service. Some people may enjoy going to the bar to get their drinks but I find that it interrupts the meal and conversation- particularly if you are on a date and end up on a busy Saturday sitting for considerable lengths of time alone....

On driving in the view of the hotel is beautiful. We had a good stay here - they did gluten free food (with a separate menu) but you do need to ask to see it. Could do generally with more cakes on offer for afternoon tea if you are not having the full high tea.enjoyed breakfast and evening meals. Gluten...

Having attended a wedding the weekend before I booked a room for a business trip. The service was good and the rooms very good. It is a great setting and well worth a visit. The restaurant and bar are also good.

Please note we do not reply to any comments posted. Please contact us directly if you wish to discuss your experience further. A superb joint venture between Milsom Hotels and Hills Group. The bistro restaurant has everything you would expect, inventive food alongside classics such as the delightful fish and chips, a buzzing but relaxed atmosphere and wonderful service from a friendly and professional team. Although you cannot book at Kesgrave Hall it is open all day! So you can arrive when you choose. The 'stay' part of eat, drink, stay (our milsoms mantra!) Could not be any more enjoyable. The Principal suites, whilst lavish and grand, are competitively priced and all bedrooms are beautifully designed and fully equipped with the very latest TVs and MP3 players.
