We had a rare child-free New Year and decided to treat ourselves to trip away. We live less than an hour from the Cotswolds and had stayed at the Country Inn in Lower Slaughter in February 2015 and had longingly eyed the Manor House. This was a catered event, so everyone was on the same deal I believe although I...

We were driving through Lower Slaughter and decided to stop here for tea. Not only was it picturesque, the tea and scones were sumptuous and the staff were wonderful. Walking through the reception area is like walking through someone's stately home. It made you feel warm and special. Hopefully, one day, we will have the good fortune of staying here...

My husband and I spent two days at Lower Slaughter Manor over New Year's Eve and New Year's Day on a special package. We booked a junior suite (Aimee) and it was great - very spacious, huge bathroom, very comfortable bed and the pillows were amazing. Our suite was on the top floor overlooking the back garden and was very...

We stayed here for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year and enjoyed a superb trip. All the staff were most helpful and the food was deserving of a Michelin Star. Dinner consisted of a 6 course tasting menu and the balance, texture and flavour of each course and on all 3 nights, was some of the finest we have...

We spent 3 nights here Dec 21-24th and had a wonderful pre-Christmas experience. The decorations were sumptuous (tree in our room!) And the festive menu in the restaurant was delightful. Lower Slaughter is an ideal setting. Came from London by train then taxi. Could walk everywhere in town and to the neighboring villages. The hotel has lovely common rooms with...

I took my wife here for her Birthday. We booked a suite as it was a special occasion and also booked dinner in addition to breakfast. The hotel is in a beautiful setting and is a very grand building. From arrival to departure the experience was superb. The staff were welcoming and attentive. They were happily able to cater for...

This lovely house in a lovely location is clearly about to be refurbished. Staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly but not intrusive. Room was large but over heated. Bed was decidedly uncomfortable and in need of replacement. Wi fi was variable - sometimes available...Sometimes not. The refurbishment will return this place to its deserved level of high quality and we...

THE place to stay while in the Cotswolds. It's certainly not cheap but the Style, service and location just can not be beat. We were told they are going to shut down for a significant interior rehab so check in advance before venturing out there. The local village is a charming little walk about and all of the other villages...

Stayed here for one night, and had a five course taster menu. Every course was delicious and different. A really memorable meal, staff attentive and very nice. Room was excellent, and spotlessly clean. Only one criticism breakfast was okay! Not much choice on the continental, I had full English, which was not that great, bacon was very tough. Our friends...
