We just came to the Restaurant. The staff is super friendly and speak english. We were a bit disapointed by the Food. The seafood and chicken is very cheewy. And it was very sad that our Drinks were Wraped in Plastic, This dont has to be, the plastic pollution is already so Bad that you dont Need to fill fresh Made Drinks in plastic and welding and plastic Straw :/
I felt so welcome here. The family provided vegetarian food for me after they knew I couldn't find any veggis and only noodles to eat. I'll definitely come back here when I'm on my way back from Togian. The hotel ist next to Ampanas beach and you can hear the waves from their cozy garden. The restaurant that belongs to the hotel has the best coffee I ever got (italien machine). And made with a lot of love like everything here! Thank you so much!
Stay for 1 night at this hotel on our way to Togeans. OK room. Clean and has hot shower. AC works well. Breakfast is OK. When you stay at the hotel, please go to the back, connected to the beach which has black gravel, not sand. Overall nice enough for stopover.
My partner and I were staying here for one night as a stop over before heading to the Togeans. We really loved the hotel. The stuff is super friendly, the rooms are really nice, the food is really delicious and the drinks are amazing. The whole place is like a little gardenparadise, we really liked it. We also fell in love with the cats who are living here! We would stay here again and can only recommend this place! Thank you for the good time, keep up this good work!
After spending 5 nights on UnaUna Island I booked this hotel for a one night stopover based on the description and reviews of the cafe bar attached to the hotel. On arrival we were a little disappointed as there was a government conference taking place here and the cafe bar was closed for the day and evening. The room was nice enough if a little dark and the air conditioning was good. The wi-fi was excellent and the staff on the front desk were very helpful in terms of supplying cold drinks and organising a car for our onward journey.
Ask for the better rooms, they are more worth the money. Nice to have clean sheet and towels. Very friendly staff and nice outside area to hang out. Wifi works farely well. Airport and the harbour are not too fare away.
If you want to take the morning flight from Ampana to Palu you must come to Ampana the day before, so this mean staying one night there. Lawaka Hotel is a nice place after a thrilling ten days in the Togean island in basic accommodations. Clean rooms, air con and confy beds. The management speak english and can take care of the transport to the airport. There is an outdoor restaurant with local and international menu, the food was good and the service very attentive. I recommend this restaurant even if your not staying at the hotel. This is the most upmarket hotel in the city, it is not expensive and it is totally worthy spend a little bit more for more comfort.
Quick visit at the hotel bar for a fruit juice. A lot of choices but afterall only 2 juices available. We decide to take two bier and a lemon juice. The bill arrives and we discover that the biers are at 50K IRD each. The lemon juice arrives after I went to the kitchen asking for it. Il wouldn't recommand this place to have a drink.
Because Lionair skipped the flight from Palu to Ampana, we arrived here in the evening by car. We had a reservation for a week later comming back from the Togeans, but it was no problem to change this with no cost. Besides that the girl at the reception booked the speedboat for the next morning and arranged the car back to Palu for a fair price, as soon as we would come back from the Togeans. So great service! As for the rooms: well equipped, although the privat bathroom is a litlle basic. Nice breakfast.
Very nice place, seems a bit more luxury than it is, rooms are ok, staff is very friendly and helpful, very nice bar / restaurant but offer of food is just basic. But the best of all is that you can buy there a beer! :D It is very good place for stopover when going Togeans Islands. I recommend staying there.
